A Vintage Inspired Layout

Hello friends! Today I want to share a recent layout I created. It is also my favorite layout that I have ever created!
You are welecome to use this image to craft with too! It is from a Rand McNally Junior Elf book.

I knew when I started this layout that I wanted to add many layers. I love busy layouts, and I wanted this one to really stand out.

This paper was so much fun to play with! It's by My Mind's Eye from their new Quite Contrary collection.

But guess what really made this layout special to me?

This BEAUTIFUL flower that Mom crocheted for me!!! I have her right this very second, making me a collection of these lovelies to play with!!!!

I leave you with this sweet Easter image also from a children's book.

Have a wonderful Spring day, Lindsey

I love busy -- lots of color and pattern. Somehow simple just isn't enough. This is so sweet. And the second image is great for Easter cards. Thanks for sharing! I see what I can use my crocheted flowers for now, too. Many blessings for a wonderful day. Tammy

Dear Lindsey, I think that YOU are too cute! I just LOVE your blog, although I must confess that I haven't created anything from the ideas yet. Where do you get the cute paper for this layout? I love umbrellas. I have a collection of them. (I live in rainy Vancouver BC) Thanks so much for your neat tutorials.

A p.s. The little flowers you mom crochets are so sweet. Tell her, that on my blog, I have some crochet patterns for smaller flowers. They might not be to her liking, and you might not be able to use them..but look to make sure. You will have to look at the labels, cause just now I'm trying to reorganize a bit..

The flower mom did is so cute! Everything you both come up with is adorable.
I enjoyed going to the Barbie on Wednesday post. Your collection is so cool..way cool for sure! I found a pink Barbie jeep the other day. I had one just like it and had to have it again for only $4. Made my day, for sure! Are you two coming on board The Piccadilly Ship in Gnomes Ahoy? Would love to have you join the fun in Aprils give away. You are welcome for sure!

I adore your layouts here....so 'retro'! Actually it's my 'era' so I can appreciate them so much better! In fact, I have some of the original cards in my cedar chest! I'm 'retro', too!
Great blog, well layed out, fun to read, and full of inspiration! No wonder you were in ArtFul Blogger!
Congrats..
