Before and After Project

Hello friends! Today I am sharing with you an altered shadow box.
Here is the before picture that I took of it. It was wood and I spray painted it red.
The shadow box was purchased at a flea market for only $3.00.

Here is the after!

I LOVED working on this project!!! I had so much fun with it!

I added several of my favorite vintage images!

Along with my favorite new paper by Sassafras. I used two of their new lines called Nerdy Bird and Cherry Delicious.

I used foam glue dots to add lots of deminsion to my shadow box.

This box has so many images and colors that make me happy so I had to sneak a little Barbie on it too!

Every sheet of these beautiful papers have a decorative border along the bottom which I cut off and used to line the shadow box.

I also added our blog banner!!

This whimsical shadow box is filled with bright and happy colors!

I even added a couple of Mom's hand crocheted flowers!

I now want to alter everything in sight! I can't wait to start my next project!

I hope that you enjoyed seeing my shadow box!
Have a lovely day, Lindsey

It looks gorgeous! I love all the frilly bits!
I pulled a big shadowbox out of the back of my wardrobe the other day and left it in our garage hoping that hubby would take the hint and paint it for me...might have to do it myself now you've inspired me!

I was so thrilled to see this. What a great idea you had Lindsey. Now I gave a shadow box to a friend I bought at a sale and I'm going to show her this idea and see if she wouldn't like to come to my craft room and do something cute with hers to transform it from a dark gloomy looking wood.

This is fabulicious (family word, LOL). So detailed and wonderful. Love it! I haven't forgotten the book, however it's hard to remember when it falls between your carseat and you discover it a few days later. Holy Monkeys!
