Barbie Wednesday

Hello friends, today my theme for Barbie Wednesday is dolls that feature children's stories!
This first one is Little Bo Peep Barbie from 1997. I remember receiving this Barbie when I was little! I loved her!
This Barbie is titled Barbie Had A Little Lamb. She came out in 1999. I remember when she came out but I was in the "I'm to old for Barbies" phase.

This lovely doll came out in 2002 and is a 100th Anniversary of The Tale of Peter Rabbit Barbie.

This Tale of Peter Rabbit Barbie came out in 1998. I don't have her, but I think I need to add her to my collection someday!

Mattel has released several versions of Repunzel Barbie over the years. This version from 1994 is the one that I had and remember most!

I also had this version from 1997. I loved playing with her crown! I have so many fond memories from my days of playing with these dolls!

Wishing you an inspiring day, Lindsey

These are lovely. I only collected a few of the newer barbies, most of mine are from the 50s and 60s.
Thanks for sharing this for Barbie Wednesday.

O.K.....The bug has finally bit & it is all your fault!! LOL!!
I bought my 1st Barbie on Ebay the other day. She is the reproduction of the 1959 one I had when I was a little girl. The brunette pony tail & the stripped bathing suit!!
I just loved her but have no earthly idea what ever happened to her so-o-o-o.....I have decided to collect Barbies!! I absolute love her!!
Thanks so much for spurring me on!!
Hugs,
Marilyn

Hi Lindsey,

I used to have the "Barbie had a little lamb" along with all of the Wizard of Oz dolls, the Snow White, one of the Angel series, but sadly I had to sell most of them about 10 years ago when my husband lost his job and was out of work for about 9 months. I do still have the Snow White and the Angel Barbie, and I've added some odd's and end's types along the way so I still have something to play with. My angel doll is in a collectors case, but all the rest are in a box under my bed with some extra clothing I can change and play with them. Thanks again for memories remembered.

Hugs,
Meri

Very pretty. I pick up the older Barbies at the flea markets for my granddaughters. They have about 35 of them. I think it may be time to stop;)
