Lil' Inker Designs New Release Blog Hop - The Sugar Kissed Cottage

Hello friends!!
Welcome to day 4 of the Color Team New Release Blog Hop!!!

Today, I am sharing 1 of my 3 new stamps sets available
exclusively through Lil' Inker Designs! Monday, I shared the Thanksgiving Wishes set,
today I am showing you the Carving Pumpkins set.

I'm so happy to share with you these newest additions to my new stamp line called, The Sugar Kissed Cottage. It's a collaboration with Lil' Inker Designs to bring you vintage inspired images, perfect for card making and papercrafting!

The lovely sentiments were created by Lil' Inker's Graphic Designer, Karen Baker.

I created this card by first stamping the image and coloring it with Copic markers. I then used paper from Authentique's Enchanted line and die cuts by Jillibean soup. I stamped my sentiment onto a small die cut tag and pop dotted it onto the card. I finished it up with some woodgrain washi tape, flourishes and a rose.

If you would like to purchase this stamp set or others from my line, you can find them exclusively here at Lil' Inker Designs online store.

Here is look at the other 2 cute stamp sets!

Twyla on Tuesday - Vintage Finds

Hello ladies!
I wanted to show you some of my
latest finds from my travels.

I absolutely love this beautiful print!
I have a collection of them.

It is always fun to add new pieces to my pottery
collection.  This little pink pot has a basket
weave pattern.  It is by Camark Pottery.

I just loved the shape of this little aqua pitcher!
It reminds me of a tulip.

I want to share with you a quote that I heard
today:

Every tomorrow has two handles.
We can either take hold of it with the
handle of anxiety or the handle of faith.
- Henry Ward Beecher

Have a beautiful day!

Halloween Mini Album

Hello friends!
Well, the holiday season is almost upon us. Especially for us crafters!
I started making Halloween themed mini albums to get in Holiday mood.

For this album I used Authentique's Enchanted paper line mixed with a few stickers and die cuts from Echo Park's Chillingsworth Manor line.

I pulled out my favorite Martha Stewart spider web
punches and started creating.

At Michaels, I found a few fun Halloween stickers by K & Company. This layered sticker that says creepy was part of a fun set of border stickers, as well as the glittered title that I used on the front of the album.

I also used brown ink to brush across a few of the light orange
roses to give them a more aged and distressed look.

Stamp Giveaway Winner and a Sunflower Card

Hello friends!

Time to announce the winner of my stamp giveaway!!

It's Myrna of My Enchanted Home!

Congrats Myrna!!!!

Thank you to all who entered.
I am so excited to share with you my new stamp line!

Are you ready to see my Fall release???!!!
That's coming next week!!!
I will be joining Lil Inker Designs and her color design team
2 days next week as we release 3 new Sugar Kissed Cottage stamp sets!!!

So please mark your calendars for that!

This card I made recently using the School Girl stamp set.
I picked out this fun sunflower patterned paper from Graphic 45's Happy Haunting paper line and created my own sunflower embellishment by punching and layering a few basic shapes.

I colored the stamp with Copic markers. Quite a hard skill to learn! As you can see in this close up, I still have a long way to go! I am enjoying the process of learning how to blend colors and create shading.

Twyla on Tuesday - Weston, MO

Hello sweet friends!
This week finds me in Weston, MO!
It was the first time I'd visited this town.  It was
founded 175 years ago and looks much the same now
as it did then.  There are many shops, restaurants and
a great place to walk!

This old church was built in 1844.  It was so pretty.
I love it's cheery red color!

There are so many pretty spots in town.  I took
lots of pictures and am showing you some of my
favorites.

We were greeted by this very pretty little guy.  He was
very friendly and playful.  He didn't even mind posing
for me!

A little while later we spotted him again, but this time
he was playing coy.

I sure enjoy sharing my adventures with you.  I wish you
could all go with me sometime!

Have a most marvelous day!
Love, Twyla

Adorable Vintage Card

I love vintage greeting cards!
There is something so sweet about them.
I am always hunting for them in my local antique shops. Sometimes I buy them in  sets that have been sealed up, but mostly I prefer seeing them before purchasing. These 2 loose paper pieces from a child's birthday card were layered in amongst a set of baby cards.

I adore the colorful bow border and wanted to share it with you!
Please enjoy this image for your craft projects!

Don't forget to leave a comment on the last post
to enter in my stamp giveaway!!!!

Wishing you happiness, Lindsey

Twyla on Tuesday - A Picture of Me

Hello Friends!
I was too self conscious to
show a picture of my new hair
cut last week, but decided since
we were all friends, it couldn't hurt.

I really am liking it!

Where I was in the picture was Hermann, MO!
Hermann sits right on the Missouri river.  Steamboats
used to come by right here back in the day.  One even
blew up here!

This is the bridge that crosses the river.
We love to visit this beautiful town.  There are historic
old buildings, antique stores and wonderful food!

It is easy to imagine life in older times when you
visit here.

Thank you for visiting with me today!
Have a beautiful day!
Love, Twyla

Antique Illustrations

Hello friends!
I found this neat old 1901 children's Reader book at an antique shop
and thought I would share a couple pages from it.

I love how detailed these old illustrations are!

Especially this one of the 2 girls with their doll!
