This week I have a birthday on Thursday. I don’t know what my kids have up their sleeves for me, but I know it will be wonderful. Last year was a landmark birthday and I wasn’t taking it too well so they went all out to make it as special as they could. They chose the theme of the Wizard of Oz because that’s always been a favorite of mine and went all out making the decorations. Do you believe this scene I walked into?!

It was unbelievable! They did such a wonderful job with the emerald city and the yellow brick road.

They spoiled me with way too many presents too. It was embarrassing!

This year will not be as big a celebration (I ask them not to).

I have been working on some things for our new etsy shop. Such fun having a ‘shop’.

As usual, I have spent quite a bit of time in my sunroom and I like to show you bits of my favorite space in my home. Here is another corner.

This Saturday, Lindsey and I went to thrift stores and flea markets. We hit one garage sale, but then it started raining and I’m a wienie. Here are some of our finds. It was funny that we kept finding Alice in Wonderland goodies. A neat set of cards that are notched to build a house of cards and one whole roll of wallpaper border.

If you haven’t discovered Erleperle, you need to check out her blog. Always beautiful, great stuff! She is a very talented lady and her pictures are always great. One of my all time favorites!

Pablo Picaso once said, “Youth has no age.” I will just keep telling myself that this week. I do believe that because there’s a big part of me that is still waiting to grow up. Wishing you much happiness! Twyla

Wow - what great kids you have. What a sweet thing to do. I'm sure that helped make that particular birthday a little easier to take.
I wish you a very happy day on Thursday. You deserve it.

that wizard of Oz theme is such a cute one for a party! I was hoping ot do the same for my daughter-in-law next month, and have been bidding on vintage Oz wallpaper for the decor, but someone else won the Ebay auction. I'll have to look around a bit. Your party sure had some great decor.
