For this Barbie Wednesday I wanted to share my collection of Barbie's Susy Goose furniture.
My Mom had the Ken wardrobe that her Mom bought for her at a garage sale many years ago.
All the other pieces I have since collected at flea markets and ebay.
Barbie's pink tricot peignoir is from The Nighty Negligee set #965 (1959 - 1964)
Did You Know?
Skipper Roberts was introduced as an alternative to Barbie actually becoming pregnant and having a child. Rather than risk tarnishing Barbie's image of youthfulness, they decided that Barbie would become a babysitter.
I just love these pieces! I would love my bedroom to look like this!
The attention to details back then still amazes me!
The bed has seen much happier days but I love the soft mattress unlike my newer beds that are just molded plastic.
I don't know if this is part of the set but it matched so well I had to have it for the collection.
I think this is my favorite piece! I love the little rose applique and it's delicate romantic style!
I hope you have enjoyed seeing another part of my Barbie collection!
Happy Wednesday, Lindsey

Oh, I love your furniture! It's really fabulous- thanks so much for showing it to us. My girlfriend gave me one of those little television sets a while back. I treasure it. Hooray for Barbie Wednesdays!
I am so impressed with all the information you are sharing about Barbie. It is so interesting.
I think I am going to have to start hunting for my Barbie dolls.
Keep up the good work.
Hugs,
Kim
OMG! I just love all your vintage Barbie things! They are wonderful treasures!! :) I have very fond memories of playing with my Barbies, (now long gone) and can't wait until my girls are old enough so I can decorate their Barbie homes with them. Lovely!
Thank you for sharing!
xoxo~

That mattress is cool. I like this furniture better than what we for our Barbies had the 70's.
I'll keep on knitting Twyla! Just wish I had someone to sit next to me and show me all of the different stitches!
Your Barbie collection is awesome!
You guys are such sweeties! Thank you for stopping by...I am just heartbroken to know that Jen is leaving the world of paper art, but I understand her dilema and her decision.
Congrat's on opening your Etsy store!!!! I guess that you have decided to part with some of that paper you've been stashing away...HEEHEE! I can't wait to see what else you put in the store. Toodles...Angie
