One morning Mom came home from garage saling with a wonderful surprise for me.
This beautiful Barbie Gift Set. She originally came out in 1996. I love how they featured her full name on the box.

I found this deck of playing cards at Wal Mart today!
It's a really cute set and it was only $2.88!

As part of the celebration for Barbie's 50th birthday, a designer named Jonathan Adler designed this Barbie house.

Those corset backed chairs are so beautiful!!

I love the floor in this room!!!!!

I also found this really neat video showcasing Barbie through the last 50 years! I hope you enjoy!

Wishing you a happy day, Lindsey

Hi Lindsey, I hope you will vist a Barbie Wednesday post in your honor on my blog today. A sweet lady sent me two books. If you don't have them, they are yours. The white "novel" is such a treasure. I read it in an hour, couldn't put it down. It was so much fun! The other book has crayon on the fron flaps, but incredible graphics such as the one at the bottom of the post that would make great tags! Let me know! Elizabeth PS You have inspired me to make some scrapbook pages. Yours are just too wonderful for words!

The room is so fabulous. Wonder what machine-loving husbands would think about a house-makeover like that!?......

i just found your blog. it is adorable and i love the relationship you have. it's very sweet!

i LOVE barbie. i have barbies from my older sisters from the 60s; my own from the 70s; and "new" ones i bought while briefly collecting in the 80s. i always joke that skipper is my fashion icon. no heels for her!
