Twyla on Tuesday

Hello, dear friends!
No, I haven't gone to the birds, but you've got to admit, this is one cute chicken!
I hope you will indulge me and allow me to share some of my latest finds.
The colors are so sweet and it is a creamer.

I don't usually collect roosters, but this one caught my eye because of his pink chest.
He is a very handsome rooster.

You know what joy I get when antiquing.  There is just nothing else I enjoy as much.
We have a new antique mall opening in our town that is 100,000 square feet!
It will be the biggest one in the state when it is filled.  We were lucky enough to be there
on opening day.  I discovered these next two planters that day.
This one was my favorite, but -

I couldn't leave this one behind!  They looked too adorable together.
I don't know who made them and they are each a little different.
I think the mold was basically the same, but the painting was different.
Their eyes are very different.

I absolutely adore old prints!
This is a charming little print in a silvered frame.

This is an afghan that I completed this week.  It is so pretty and I call it Strawberry Fields.
I am going to list it in our etsy shop soon.  If you are interested just let me know!

We want to thank everyone for visiting our Mad Tea Party.  It is always
such fun to participate in Vanessa's parties.  We appreciate all those who took
the time to leave a comment.  If you haven't had a chance to attend, I'd like to invite you to drop
in at the post below this one and see all the vintage sweetness that we tried to put into it.
If you know us, you know our hearts, and that they beat vintage:)
The winner of the tag giveaway was Donna, of Brynwood Needleworks!

Thank you all for being such dear friends and I look forward to visiting with you all!
Wishing you much happiness!
Twyla

Congrats to the tag winner! I can't believe you girls are having the good fortune of a big antique mall opening near you! I love all your new things and the 2 bride & groom planters are so unique! At least they remind me of brides and grooms. Love the afghan - you chose a great name for it.

What beautiful treasures! And lucky you, getting a huge antique mall nearby! I just noticed that your blog is going to be in the Winter issue of Artful Blogging. Congratulations! I have just discovered the magazine after hearing about it through Beverly of Pink Saturday fame. I bought the summer issue and am enjoying perusing all the different blogs and picking up ideas for my little spot.

Twyla, I have so much to catch up with! The Mat Tea Party was simply wonderful! I love when you bring together all of your collections to showcase Lindsey's wonderful paper art. I am so excited that you now have the BIG antique malls that we have here in Ohio. You will never be the same Twyla! Look at your cute finds already! It is always such a treat to visit you on Tuesdays! Elizabeth (my mil has journeyed home now. I will be returning to MI.)

You always find the cutest things! I really do like the little baby chick in the pink bonnet. You are so lucky to have a big new antique mall in your area! And your strawberry afghan is beautiful!
I'm doing much better with my crochet, can start and end rows without accidently increasing or decreasing the number of stitches like I was before, and I also know how to do a basic edging :-) I"m slowly getting there. Have not learned granny squares yet though... It's next to my list.

You are such a child at heart...just like me! I love the baby planters too! You should have a booth in the antique mall Twyla! You have the cutest stuff! I'm opening my booth August 1st and I can hardly wait. I have my small business license up and running to sell CUTE stuff...I always say, if it ain't cute, the girl with the curl does not like it!
I want to do an Etsy shop too if I can figure it out. I'm already a Ebay seller but need to list some goodies.
Cheers to antique shops and fun hang outs like that!
