Barbie Wednesday

Hello friends! Guess what came in the mail? The newest Barbie Collector catalog!!!!
Why am I so excited about a catalog you ask? It's filled with pages of bright colorful images that inspire and would be great for altered art!

I feel like that little girl who marked x's on the pages of the old Barbie booklets! I want to go through and  mark everything I want!!
Starting with this black retro Fashion Queen Barbie shirt!!

Mattel is also releasing the Fashion Queen Barbie as one of their reproduction releases this year! I love this Barbie! She was one of my first vintage Barbie dolls that I added to my collection! I think she is so gorgeous! She has a painted head and came with 3 wigs.

I think these dolls are what pulls at my heart strings the most! These vintage styled Wizard of Oz dolls are dreamy!! I LOVE everything about them!

One of the best things about these catalogs are the great big colorful images! I always have plans for cutting my catalog up for crafting. Wouldn't these images make for adorable tags?!

Wishing you a day of fun, Lindsey

Wow, I sure wish I had saved all of the Barbies from my childhood! I still love Barbie and have been collecting the Lucille Ball Barbies and some of the holiday Barbies. I'm almost 50 and I still love Barbie!

The new Wizard of Oz dolls are great but I JUST spent a bunch of money on the last series! Am anxiously awaiting delivery of the Mad Men dolls, too, but so far my will power has helped me resist the Fashion Queen. Whenever the catalog arrives I have to repeat, "Hello, my name is Chris and I'm a Barbie-holic" but I'm constantly "falling off the wagon", so to speak.

Wow a Barbie with wigs? Who knew?! I used to love Barbies as a child and well as an adult too! I think I bought my daughters Barbies just so I could play, ha!

Hi Lindsey:
I'm so glad I don't have one of these catalogs. I fear I'd end up a hardcore collector, and for me...that would be expensive at this stage of my life! lol I'm sure you're having great fun deciding which dolls you can't live without. Hope you and your mom have a great day!

The fashion queen Barbie has been my favorite for years now, she is not too expensive and has so many looks including the color magic! That repro looks great!

Did you see Toy Story 3. It is so funny when Barbie and Ken see each other for the first time. True love. I grew up with girl cousins and had to play Barbie a lot if I wanted to play. Usually I was GI Joe or Johnny West and had to take them on dates!

I got my catalog a few days ago too. I love the cover it is beautiful. I have never seen the Mad Men show, but the dolls look awesome. There are so many and I feel greedy but I want them all! I can't wait to see what you come up with for art from the catalogs.
Have a great day.

I got my catalog, too. I liked the Wizard of Oz dolls, but I really want the Mad Men doll from the cover with the cream, blue, & pink dress. She's a little pricey, though. I always enjoy my catalog!

One of the reasons I love Barbie, will always love Barbie is the clothes. The second is her hair.

I love her clothes, her themed outfits, her princess pinks, her holiday ball gowns, her world costumes. I WANT To wear her clothes!

In the '60s I got to Barbie with the three wigs, I have no Idea what happened to her, she was probably passed on to one of my 5 younger sisters. What I wouldn't do to have her or any of my old Barbies back!
