Today I wanted to show you storybook Barbie's. This first one I have but I received her when I was younger and played with her a LOT! So I will show you this picture of one still in the box. Little Bo Peep Barbie came out in 1995. She is so beautiful but let me tell you, 5 minutes out of the box and her curls where flattened!!! They didn't last once I started playing with her!

This is a photo of a Little Red Riding Hood outfit from 1963. This outfit was part of a series of storybook costumes created for Barbie and Ken. A theater playset was created for girls to play with too.

Here is the Little Red Riding Hood Barbie that came out last year. Look at how different they are! I like this new one! I think she's really cute! I like her stockings!!

Here is a shot of her box. I think Mattel did a really great job with it! See the house?!! Too cute!

Another great recent release is Alice from Alice in Wonderland. She's gorgeous!! I love her dress! The color and ruffles are so lovely!!!

Of course when you hear Alice in Wonderland, you have to think of the Queen of Hearts.

She is amazing!!!! The details of her dress to the crown upon her head are so beautiful!

To complete the trio of dolls is of course The Mad Hatter! I hope to add these lovely dolls to my collection soon!

I took a Barbie personality test on BarbieCollector.com. Go take the test and let me know which Barbie personality you have!!!! My personality Barbie is the Brunette Bubble Cut Barbie! While you;re there be sure to try the vintage Barbie trivia!!!!!!

Thank you for visiting today!

What an incredible coincidence! I was in this store today called Tuesday Morning, "where many treasures are waiting to be discovered" (You can buy new toys from quality brands at highly discounted prices. The packaging can sometimes be a smitch dinged, but I was able to find a "perfect" of what I went for: A PRESENT FOR MY DAUGHTER'S BIRTHDAY! ("The Girls" represent the two peas in a pod that she and I are together, PLUS, we're BIG Lucyand Barbie fans.) and came across the Little Red Riding Barbie (last year's) that you've featured in your blog entry! I found the Wolf to be strangely (and I DO mean strangely, dare I say, mesmerizing?! So... so... non-Mattelly? Nevertheless, I liked the set and wish I could have found some more money in the bottom of my purse for it. (Located a couple of rouge M&Ms and a paper straw jacket, instead.) Oo! Oo! I'm on my way to take the Barbie Quiz! I'll be back later on to tell you who I really be! LOL! Thanks for the great blog read. Like I said: later!

Hi Lindsey!! I took the test and I'm the original teenage fashion model in the black dress/black & white striped swim suit with white sunglasses, that was fun! I like the little bo peep and the queen of hearts is beautiful! I like the boxes that have the scenes in them, it looks like mattel really spent time in making them... I wish all the boxes were like that... Loved your post!! have great day!! Hugs, Jennifer : )

I took the test and I'm the Original Teenage Fashion Model Barbie. That is too funny. Wow, Little Red Riding Hood Barbie sure got sexy with her long stockings and short little skirt! The Alice Barbie is very pretty.

Just done your Barbie quiz and I was Barbie and the Rockers.
Love the storybook Barbies although Red Riding Hood is a little vampish lol. Alice and the Queen of hearts may be on my birthday wish list as this is one of my favourite stories.
I think I may have to go and get all my daughters old Barbies out and have a play 'hehe'!

Lindsey! Guess what I found out today! I work with your brother!! Jordan and I were talking today and he mentioned that his sister was into scrapbooking and of course I pounced on that. Well when he told me you worked at Scrap Nook I knew exactly who you were. What a small world. I told him how nice it was for you to come over to Nikki's and help package. Your Boo album was so great. I'm so excited that you guys are going to be carrying us now. You'll have to see Nikki's blog to see all the pictures from CHA.

So glad to hear from someone else watching the Bachelorette! I already miss the show. This was by far, my favorite of all Bachelor/Bachelorette's. I loved Jillian and all the men. It was a great show to watch.

The other day I saw a Barbie calender at Costco. Do you have Costco? I immediately thought of you! It is such a pretty one. I'm going to Costco tomorrow, I will see if they still have it. I just may have to buy it for you.

Love that Alice in Wonderland Barbie. I can't wait to see the new movie! With Johnny Depp, woo hoo.

Dear Twyla and Lindsey,

I wanted to thank you Twyla for your visit to my blog and your very sweet comments, I so appreciate your kind words!

And what fun your blog is! I see I'm going to really enjoy exploring here. I loved Barbie so much as a child and ahem, Barbie and I grew up together so I'm having great fun seeing things I remember from my childhood.

I found my Barbie dolls recently up at my dad's house, can you believe it?!

Thanks again and I'll look forward to coming back by and visiting with you.
