Hello! Are you ready for another Barbie Wednesday?!

This week I have to show you 2 new pieces of furniture I bought on ebay last week.

This vanity and bed were made by a brand called Amsco in the early sixties. It looks very similar to the Suzy Goose vanity and bed that comes in a cream color.

I knew when I saw that aqua and bright yellow color combination it would look cute in Skipper's Dream Room.

Here is another picture from the vintage Barbie magazine I showed a few weeks ago. This is a beautiful photo of a Bubble Cut Barbie in the #951 Senior Prom Dress from 1963-64.

This photo of Skipper is also from the Barbie magazine.

One of the very interesting things I learned from my Barbie Guide book is that there are two makeup types. There is High color which lasted through out the years and there is regular color which faded over time.

Here is a picture of several prototypes of the original number 1 Barbie that was sold to some very lucky collector's in 1983.

Thank you for stopping by today, Lindsey

What a perfect kitty valentine!!!!

Well, Skipper sure is a lucky girl! That Aqua and yellow looks cool together. I wanted a canopy bed soooo bad when I was a little girl!

(You're doing such a great job of photographing Skipper!)

Glad your package came! Maybe mine will come today!

Hi Lindsey
I am always ready for another Barbie Wednesday.
The bed and vanity are lovely. Skipper will love them in her Dream Room. Those prototype Barbies in the stripy swimsuits are beautiful.

Dear Lindsey, I love your Barbie Wednesdays because they bring back all of the wonderful images that I have of my Barbie childhood. I had all of the things that you feature including today's furniture and blue green dress. My mother purchased every single thing that came out for me. Being such a neat kid I kept everything in perfect condition. When I met my husband at 16 I was so embarrassed for him to see them that I gave hundreds of items to a neighbor girl. Something I have'nt seen you post yet and hope you do, is a round case for Skipper about 1964-5 that was her teen age bedroom and closet. Oh my gosh was that a Christmas for me. I got everything Skipper had that year including Tuti and her little boy counterpart. Thanks for the wonderful memories. Especially thanks for all of the Valentines. All the best to you! Elizabeth

Hi Lindsey,
Great Barbie Wednesday post!
I like the furniture you bought on ebay. I have the original Suzy Goose poster bed in the original box and has never been opened. I regret buying it because I can't open it and display it!
I also like your maganize images.
Thanks for sharing...
Love, Ann
