Vintage Style Crafting!

Hello friends!
We were so busy during the Sugar Kissed Christmas tutorials that I never got to share the Christmas mini albums I created throughout the season.

Have you ever seen a sheet of patterned paper that you just thought was too pretty to cut?
Well, I have always felt that way about a specific paper line. Daisy D's Mistletoe Memories was the name of the line. It's several years old and the company went out of buisness.

This line is retro themed and makes me so happy!

I have been hoarding this paper for years, but manged to find more recently on ebay
so I decided to finally make something with it!

Since the line is so old, there aren't many embellishments, so I did a lot of hand cutting from the papers.

Photobucket

I love how all the papers look like a piece of old wrapping paper!
It makes me so happy!

I also added other retro pieces from Crafty Secrets and Cosmo Cricket to fill the book.

I was enjoying creating Christmas albums so much that I couldn't stop!
I did this one....

and this one...
I had fun using Graphic 45's Christmas line for this victorian style book.

and this one...
Another fun retro themed mini album

and lastly, this one!
I really enjoyed creating this one with October Afternoon's Holiday Style line. The colors were so dreamy and the style was so sweet and vintage!

Now I am thinking about Valentine albums!!!!

What could be better than a kitty and a puppy in a stocking? These are so adorable, Lindsey! I love the crinkle ribbon on the binding! ♥

Your work is always so inspiring.

This winter I hope to hibernate and work on some too. We're getting our attic renovated into a bedroom so my dining-room-turned-art room is now completely filled with boxes and bins from the attic. I won't have much access to my supplies, but made sure to take out the paper crafts before cramming the attic stuff in there!

Yikes!! All too cute. I hoard the Daisy D's Christmas paper too. I may have to do this also. It's precious with pictures in it.

Computer glitch..... I meant it's precious even without pictures in it. I am in love with vintage I think because it reminds me of my childhood.

So beautiful! But I know what you mean about hating to cut the pretty paper! the result is worth it though. You are an inspiration! Maybe I will have to bite the bullet and cut some of my own pretty stash!
