Barbie Wednesday

Hello friends!
Today is a special Twilight edition of Barbie Wednesday!

Today is the release of the Eclipse movie and I have tickets to see this movie tonight!!! Yippee skippee!!

The original 2009 release of the Edward Ken (he really sparkles!) and Bella Barbie dolls.

Then early this year Mattel released the Jacob doll. I must admit that I am on Team Edward and really struggled with whether I even wanted a Jacob doll but I wanted to be able to have the whole collection!

I was thrilled to see Mattel are releasing this August, 2 more dolls in the Twilight series! First, this gorgeous Alice Barbie!

And also this lovely Victoria doll!

If you haven't seen these dolls yet you can find Edward, Bella and Jacob available at Wal Mart and both the Alice and Victoria dolls will be released August 23rd.

Wishing you all a wonderful day, Lindsey

Twyla on Tuesday

Hello, dear friends!
No, I haven't gone to the birds, but you've got to admit, this is one cute chicken!
I hope you will indulge me and allow me to share some of my latest finds.
The colors are so sweet and it is a creamer.

I don't usually collect roosters, but this one caught my eye because of his pink chest.
He is a very handsome rooster.

You know what joy I get when antiquing.  There is just nothing else I enjoy as much.
We have a new antique mall opening in our town that is 100,000 square feet!
It will be the biggest one in the state when it is filled.  We were lucky enough to be there
on opening day.  I discovered these next two planters that day.
This one was my favorite, but -

I couldn't leave this one behind!  They looked too adorable together.
I don't know who made them and they are each a little different.
I think the mold was basically the same, but the painting was different.
Their eyes are very different.

I absolutely adore old prints!
This is a charming little print in a silvered frame.

This is an afghan that I completed this week.  It is so pretty and I call it Strawberry Fields.
I am going to list it in our etsy shop soon.  If you are interested just let me know!

We want to thank everyone for visiting our Mad Tea Party.  It is always
such fun to participate in Vanessa's parties.  We appreciate all those who took
the time to leave a comment.  If you haven't had a chance to attend, I'd like to invite you to drop
in at the post below this one and see all the vintage sweetness that we tried to put into it.
If you know us, you know our hearts, and that they beat vintage:)
The winner of the tag giveaway was Donna, of Brynwood Needleworks!

Thank you all for being such dear friends and I look forward to visiting with you all!
Wishing you much happiness!

Mad Tea Party

We are so honored that you have joined Two Crazy Crafters
for a little vintage inspired madness!

There's an un-birthday party across the land today
designed to delight and amuse you.

It's our pleasure to entertain you.

Lindsey has put her skills to use and made some lovely, whimsical decorations.

A place has been set for each of you so don't be shy.

Let's follow Alice down the rabbit hole for some nonsense.

The key will unlock the magic.

The White Rabbit and the Cheshire Cat are both on hand to guide
her through this magical land.

"Follow me", says the White Rabbit!

Come this way!

Alice hopes to find her way before she's too late for Miss Vanessa's

She must not miss the muchness that she knows will enchant her there.

Now which way shall she go?

Maybe this way!

  Or maybe that!

We hope that you have enjoyed your adventure through our
Vintage Wonderland.

To thank you for attending our tea party, Lindsey has crafted this tag to give away to
one of our party attendees.  Just leave a comment on this post and you will be entered.
Winner will be announced Tuesday, June 29th!

Enjoy your day!

Tea Party Invitation

Hello Dear Friends!
Today we are sharing images from a deck of Alice in Wonderland cards.

Lindsey found these in a flea market a couple of years ago.
They have slits in the edges for them to fit together to make a house of cards.

We thought the graphics were great and that all of you might like to
use them in your own creations.

We are super excited about the Mad Tea Party tomorrow.
Lindsey and I have been working on a tea party that is full of vintage whimsy.

We hope you will visit us tomorrow for fun and a giveaway, too!
Have a wonderful day!

Barbie Wednesday

Hello friends! Guess what came in the mail? The newest Barbie Collector catalog!!!!
Why am I so excited about a catalog you ask? It's filled with pages of bright colorful images that inspire and would be great for altered art!

I feel like that little girl who marked x's on the pages of the old Barbie booklets! I want to go through and  mark everything I want!!
Starting with this black retro Fashion Queen Barbie shirt!!

Mattel is also releasing the Fashion Queen Barbie as one of their reproduction releases this year! I love this Barbie! She was one of my first vintage Barbie dolls that I added to my collection! I think she is so gorgeous! She has a painted head and came with 3 wigs.

I think these dolls are what pulls at my heart strings the most! These vintage styled Wizard of Oz dolls are dreamy!! I LOVE everything about them!

One of the best things about these catalogs are the great big colorful images! I always have plans for cutting my catalog up for crafting. Wouldn't these images make for adorable tags?!

Wishing you a day of fun, Lindsey

Twyla on Tuesday

Hello Sweet Friends!
This little fellow is here to remind you that this Saturday is A Fanciful Twist's
Mad Tea Party.
It is sure to be a fun day for everyone and Lindsey and I are
busy cooking up some fun surprises and inviting
you all to join us for the magical event!

It was last year's Mad Tea Party that we had a picture published in
Artful Blogging magazine.  We were so thrilled!

You know our love of baby planters.  Well, this week while strolling
through a local flea market, I spotted this little cutie.
I'd never seen one like this before and was thrilled to see a $2.50 price tag!

This sweet little angel came from the same store with an equally low price tag.
Her wing has been repaired but that didn't bother me.
She's still sweet as can be.

I don't know what it is, but when I walk down the aisles of flea markets and
antique malls these things call to me from the shelves.
I must look like an easy target.

I want to thank everyone for all the kind things you say about my crochet.
I wanted to let you know that I have listed a couple of my pincushions
in our etsy shop.

I hope you all are keeping your cool this week.  We are having a heatwave
here in the midwest.  I think I am off to McDonald's for a Mocha Frappe!
Wishing you all much happiness!

Barney and Muffin

Hi, I'm Barney.
I've been with my new family for two weeks now and I think I like it here.
They feed me and I'm not hungry anymore.
I love playing outside and when my mom comes to make me come in, I love
to run from her :)
They love to snuggle me and I like it, too.
They like to tell me what a good boy I am and how cute I am.

Muffin here,
"What's the matter, Mom?  Wasn't I cute enough for you?
I already had my hands full with Spencer!"

Have a happy Friday!

Barbie Wednesday

Hello friends!
Today I am sharing images from my new vintage Barbie booklet that I found last weekend.

I love how this book's original owner had marked an x on certain pages.

I love these images! I think they would make perfect tags!

Help yourself to use these images for crafting!

Have a crafty day, Lindsey
