Happy Tuesday, Everyone! It's so nice to be visiting with you again. So much has been going on lately and much to catch up on. Because of my birthday and the Wizard of Oz Gala I haven't done a post in a while on the treasures that I have found. The photo below is an arrangement of some of my country treasures on the top of our fireplace. My son, Jordan, made this arrangement for me and took the picture.

I saw this Little Red Riding Hood wall pocket in an antique store one day. I looked at it, amazed that it wasn't more expensive. I didn't buy it that day, but went home and looked it up on ebay. Let me tell you, I couldn't wait to get back to that store and buy it! I was just hoping it was still there! I see these occasionally and they all look different. This one has a design number on the back.

This is another of the sweet motto prints I picked up. I loved the color of the frame and of course, the steep roofed cottage!

We have been traveling all over Missouri going to antique stores and flea markets that we've never been to before. We are having so much fun this summer. On a trip to Camdenton I found this little bird that I have been looking for for a while now. Isn't it adorable?!

There's some things you pick up and you think, 'That's cute, do I want this?' and then there's things that you grab up quickly and say, 'Oh, I love it!' and you don't dare put it back down. That's the way it was with this little bird creamer.

This planter was from a shop in Osage Beach, MO. Is that cute or what?! You know, if you're ever in Missouri and go antiquing you may run into me! There are certain things I look for when I go. Planters, of course, Folk Art Pfaltzgraff, enamelware, tea trivets and figurines. I can't resist a sewing machine drawer and I love the old woven sewing baskets. I always have my eyes open for Enid Collins wooden purses, vintage cards, dress patterns, and postcards.

Some of my treasures were inherited. This sweet little set of deer belonged to my Aunt Pearl. It is a joy to have them now. She lived in Illinois and I only saw her once a year.

Sunday I was in an antique store in Joplin and found this sweet little deer. He was so precious that I had to bring him home with me.

I hope you enjoyed catching up on my treasure hunting with me. I wish we could just all get together and go antiquing! My kids and I are going to continue enjoying our daycations this summer and see what else we can find!
I hope you all are enjoying your week! Twyla

Good morning, Twyla! Jordan definetely has an eye for design. My Christopher is that way, too. He can make a real pretty bouquet but I can't!

The bluebird creamer is perfect for you, Twyla! I hope you didn't have to go too far to get your litle red riding hood! ☺

I'm so glad you'll have these happy shopping memories to keep forever! ♥

I also loved all of your new treasures. The little birdie is so cute and those little deer are ADORABLE! I enjoy peeking into little shops too. Lots of times the most jumbled up ones have the best stuff tucked away in the corners!!!

Oh my goodness, I fell in love with Aunt Pearl and her treasures. Thank you for sharing such sweet vintage finds. I'm just like you, I'd buy them all up in a twinkle and find a place quick. Come see my blog when you have a chance. I have started my childhood story today living at Once Upon a Fairyland. I know you'll enjoy the charm of it my new "like minded" friend.

I enjoyed seeing your treasures. I wish I was able to travel and look for these things. My brother-in-law and his wife go looking all the time and have a house full of vases and and all kinds of things. I think it would be really fun to do the world's largest yard sale. I love watching that on TV.

What a great idea to spend the summer taking little daycations for treasure hunting. My mother and I should be doing this instead of cleaning and taking care of family all day. You've inspsired me.

Twyla, You have found the most cutest treasures ever! I always love visiting your blog to see what new treasures you have discovered. If I may, I wouldlike to use the wonderful little kitten image in a last minute card for my block party. Someone I don't know has asked to join, and I am running out of greeting cards! Thanks as always for letting us share Tuesdays with you! Elizabeth

Hi there! Those are fun goodies you got on your trip!

Hey! I got your pink slippers just a day or two ago! I will be posting them on the blog in a little bit! (a day or so or more) Thank you!!! I love them! I've always wanted crocheted slippers and never had anyone who would make them for me! :)

Unknown said...

errr...I mean knitted slippers...NOT crocheted!
