I believe that I have shown you my little Barbie tea set in a past post but I thought I would show it to you again because I found another Barbie tea set to go with it.

I really like this one! It definitely needs some TLC that I have yet gotten too, though. I love the Solo in the Spotlight Barbie they used for this set.

I also found this big Barbie trunk Saturday. It's in very rough shape. Has splits in the vinyl and the plastic handle has been broken off but I have never seen this particular image on a case before especially for the year it came out, 1965. I would have thought then that they would have used one of the newer style dolls like the American Girl or Bubble Cut Barbie.

Mom pointed out to me that she liked how they used a red plaid cooler in the image that was very popular in that era.

I thought it was interesting looking at Skipper's outfit. I don't recognize it. I wonder if it was planed to be released and then rejected? I love knowing little things like that!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who comes by and visits me on Barbie Wednesday's. I really appreciate all of your comments so much!
Wishing you a pleasant day, Lindsey

What a Terrific Tea Set to add to your collection, Lindsey... I always enjoy your Barbie posts. In the first photo, I am loving the Straw Purse with the Forget-Me-Not Flowers; I used to have one just like it. Also am Lovin' the Pink Poodle Skirt Barbie! Awesome!

The Barbie Trunk image is great... and I remember those Red Plaid Coolers! But, I do not recall ever having, or seeing, the outfit that Skipper has on, either. Somehow I bet you'll get to the bottom of that "mystery"... Hope you and Twyla had a fun St. Patrick's Day!

God bless...

Hi Lindsey,
I thought about you today when I went in to a thrift store in town for a quick peak. In a big ziplock bag they had a older barbie with short hair and several outfits, alot of them looked hand made and it said "Barbie 1966". The doll definitly looked loved, not brand new and I wondered if that would have been something you were interested in. I love reading about your love of your collection.

Good morning, Lindsey! ♥

I remember those plaid coolers, too! Not until I just saw it, though. It helped stir up my memory box! That's one of the cool things about vintage stuff. It helps me to remember things that I had forgotten.

I love Skipper's outfit! She looks cute no matter what she wears, though!

Have a happy Wednesday!

Hi Lindsey
The tea set is really cute and I love the travel trunk. What is it like inside? Is it all decorated like the ski chalet case was? I loved that ski chalet!
Happy Barbie Wednesday.

I couldn't wait to get home and write to you! I found a few Barbies at my local Goodwill this morning. Now I have lots of questions. Is the year stamped on the back the actual year it was made? What does it mean when it has Indonesia? And what should I use to clean the vinyl? They need a touch up and some hair appointments! heehee! Thanks for your help! I am excited! Please write!

Hi Lindsey, I love the tea set and that barbie trunk image in the red plaid looks like the same material they used on her bag with her outfit Winter Holiday!

I have that Skipper outfit in question. It's called "Fun TIme". I had to look it up in my tiny little catalog, but they did actually make that outfit. I love your Barbie Wednesdays" because I love Brbie.
