Barbie Wednesday

Hello friends!
I was looking through this great old issue of Barbie Bazaar, reading an article about Twist N Turn Barbies which are featured on the front cover.

I was very intrigued by this photo. It features outfits that were only released in Japan. I am quite in love with the blue flower print dress!
There were many outfits made only in Japan that were never even photographed for catalogs,
that collectors are still discovering.

Wishing you a lovely day, Lindsey

I remember when those Twist and Turn Barbies were introduced and the commercials made us all want to get one. I had no idea that they had special releases just for Japan. I bet the collectors really feel lucky when they find one, especially if they are in good condition.

I remember getting my first twist and turn Barbie. Actually mine was a Stacey! Remember her? Mine had red hair like my best friend had and I got her for my birthday. Thanks for the memories!

Blessings

We just watched a movie trailer for Toy Story 3 and it features Ken and Barbie! It looked great. I was born too early for Barbie...I had its prequel...The Revlon Doll. She was larger with an hour glass figure and high heels.

Hi Ladies,

I had no idea they did special releases just for Japan......how rude not to share....LOL. I like both the blue/green flower print and the red flower print dresses. Can't say I like the hats though.

Hugs,
Meri

Hi Lindsey! Question for you! I am in my giving away part of the year and wanted to know if you would like to make a home for my most favorite planters, Cucko Clock house with lid, very small and two stork planters which are my very favorite. I'm not in a hurry to send them out but am getting organized. Let me know! E
