I want to thank everyone for the very sweet comments on last Tuesday's post. I love hearing from all of you. I like to think that we are kindred spirits and it's by no accident that we have met in the blog land.
What is it about summer that makes us like to read? It's the one time of year that I love to sit back with a good story. Because of my love for knitting, I was drawn to the books by Debbie Macomber that take place in and around a yarn store. There is a series of 6 of these books now and I'm on the 4th one. I have enjoyed them very much and now I think I might read some of her other novels.

Because Lindsey has been creating scrapbook pages with cherries on them, I decided to crochet cherries for her to use on her pages. These are so fun to make.

They look great on her scrapbooking projects and she also wore one pinned to her shirt one day. I think they could be used in many applications. I am making them to sell in our etsy store also.

I'm sure you are wanting me to get on with the give away drawing. To remind you, this is what I was giving away.

I know there are random generators, but I like the personal touch so I wrote down all the names that commented on last Tuesday's post and swirled them around my pretty bowl. I told my son to pick one . . .

The winner is: Heidi Ann of Gold Country Girls! Congratulations Heidi! I'll have this out soon.

I have now gone 71 1/2 miles on my walk to Deb's house. I am so pleased that some of you are inspired to walk after sharing my goal to increase my stamina and gain better health. Just as a little motivator I wanted to tell you some interesting facts about walking just a half an hour a day. You reduce the risk of heart disease by 30%. Reduce the risk of Type 2 diabetes by 50% and reduce the risk of breast cancer by 20%. Let's keep walking!
Have a wonderful week! Twyla
