What Is It?

When I spotted this at an antique store,
 I thought, "how cute",
but .. what is it? What it's purpose?
The tag didn't say, maybe they didn't know what it was either?

It doesn't open at the top. Just smooth glass.
Hmm....

The bottom of it is open.
Could it be a cover for something?

Well, whatever it is,
it was too cute for me to pass up!
Any suggestions, ideas?

Wishing you a creative Saturday, Lindsey

Maybe to cover a baby bottle?
Whatever it is, it has cute vintage graphics on it.

Maybe a light globe from an old light fixture?

I sure have never seen one like this. At first I thought a tea candle but that would snuff out a candle wouldn't it with the top being closed.

I'm with Cheryl -- with the cute children's images, it must have been used to cover something baby related. ??? Of course, I have absolutely no clue. Just a guess! Have a super Saturday. Best wishes, Tammy

I can't blame you for picking that up. Those graphics are too cute!

It's driving me nuts. I know I've seen something like this before!

Before reading I knew it! It is a lamp cover of a hanging lamp, the metal where to put the bulb in and which holds the cable (I do hope you understand what I mean) is missing. Great find!

Ooops, I should have read your text first. Well an unfinished lamp hehehe, they forgot to drill a hole ;-)!

How fun to take a guess! Hmmmm...it belongs in the nursery (are I just not the smartest one of the bunch...ha!)and I think it was a part of a light fixture, a night light so precious baby would not feel alone and mother could see her way into the nursey in the middle of the night!

Lindsey sold some birdy tags yesterday to a little girl that was just gushing over them! She stopped for goodies in the Wishing Well too.

They used to make baby bottles that had a big rubber nipple that would slip over the top of the bottle...I was thinking this could be one but, then the open end looks very wide in one of the pictures which would make that impossible...so I am not really sure but, still like you said ...it is very cute...I would have had to buy it too....blessings,Shelley

I don't know what it is either!
But agree that the graphics are
great! Good buy! Let us know if anyone comes up with the answer.
It does look like it could be part of a lamp? Somehow....!!!
Thanks for sharing.

Smiles and Blessings,
Nancy
