My Creative Space

Hello friends!
Today and every Friday I will share with you all, my creative space.
Here on my craft table today is my current project. An altered composition book.
This book is will have a retro kitchen theme. Perfect for writing down recipes or family memories.
I used 2 different paper lines for this book. Kitschy Kitchen by Melissa Frances and Modern Homemaker by October Afternoon. Coordinating rub ons by Melissa Frances.

I also wanted to share with you a great little tool.
It looks like a big soft eraser.
It easily removes any glue that I accidentally get on my projects!
It sure has helped me out of a few sticky situations!
It's made by Therm O Web and works great!

Wishing you a lovely Friday, Lindsey

I remember I made a Christmas altered book from a composition book tutorial you did. I gave that as a gift it came out so well. I too use these adhesive pick-ups they are great.

Hi Lindsey,

I love the October Afternoon papers, and Cosmo Cricket is another favorite. I find it hard to make things with them as I want to keep the paper around forever. Having a mother as an artist, I grew up with all kinds of neat art tools and the adhesive pickups were one of them. Rubber cement was used (and can still be used) as a mask when my mom painted with watercolors. She then had to go back and remove the cement with one of those squares. Another method is to collect your extra "sticky" stuff into a wad and as it grows bigger it's like having a free tool. Have a great weekend!

Hugs and love,
Meri

Do you know what I started doing when feeling stressed? I turn on youtube and watch women create journals. It's sooooo relaxing to just sit and watch the brushstrokes, ripping paper, gluing, watercoloring, tearing.....writi...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I just ordered those two paper lines. I especially like the Kitchy Kitchen. It is very easy to work with.
