Lindsey's Vintage Christmas Gifts

Hello friends, today I want to share with you a few of my special vintage gifts that I received for Christmas!

My brother gave me this cute Irmi/Nursery Originals lamp! It features a little girl sitting in a rocking chair, knitting. A little boy playing an instrument and a little kitty which when you wind up, is musical and makes the little girl rock in her chair.

My Mom gave me this beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Ballerina doll. I love how she came from the flea market with pins in her dress. I don't know what they were for but I thought it was so sweet.

My Mom also gave me this pretty Geisha figurine that we spotted at an Antique shop recently.

My brother gave me this beautiful Limoge powder case that I have fallen in love with!

I was at a flea market in early December doing a little Christmas shopping when I looked up at the top of a case to see this beautiful piece. I instantly fell in love with it!

I couldn't have been more thrilled to open this wonderful surprise from my Mom!

Thank you for stopping by and looking at my treasures. I wish you a wonderful weekend!
Lindsey

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Well you two are the only friends in the whole wide world who I know have got a blog book like mine! Aren't they just brilliant! I have waited over four weeks for it to arrive but I can't you how chuffed I am with it. The photos and text are spot on so brilliantly presented. Also having the comments too mean just about everything to me. What a wonderful gift for you? How thoughtful! In some of my posts I have chatted a bit about my life you know meeting my husband and having my twin daughters I wanted a record for them to look back on I thought it was a good way to record my crocheting too. Now when anyone says I inspire them I always say to myself 'Who me?' I just can never believe something I have done makes such an impact on someone! Well I am truly honoured! Thank you. I've looked back on the posts (I'm still in bed on iPhone) daughter just rang really early and I can't get back to sleep just thought I would check my blog and saw you had left a message! Your blog book is beautiful too! Your Christmas gifts are so pretty I am sure you will have a lot of pleasure from them. You have made an excellent job of the ripple it really is so pretty , the colours work really really well together . Have you made many before? It looks as though you have done a first class job Twyla . Well done. Don't you just love rippling? Do you find them relaxing? I'm doing yet another basket this one for my 'boudouir!' :) yes bedroom not finished yet! I'm really chuffed with your comments and that we have the same tastes! :) I should have emailed you sorry. I hope not to miss any more posts ! They truly were so interesting! Pleased for your successful blog Both of you! Hugs and love from sue in the uk (completely covered with a blanket of snow!) xx

Sweetness! Next time I go to an antique shop, I hope to see an Irmi piece in person! What could be more perfect than winding up a kitty?

I like the pins in your ballerina doll, too. I think her skirt made a perfect little pin holder! It is funny that they left them in, though.

Oh Lindsey, I'm in love with that limoge powder case, too! Uh-oh! You know what that means? It's a love triangle! Hee-hee! Just pickin'! It's so sweet that Jordan knew you would like that. Hang on to that brother! I don't think I've seen limoge pieces in person either... I've learned the coolest things through blogging!

Thanks for showing your gifts and I hope you have a fun week end! ♥

Lindsey, these are such treasures! The lamp figurines remind me of A Small World in Disney :) I was there right now last year--I wish I was back there, instead of all this snow :(

Isn't it funny. My mother in law does not understand "vintage", so when she asks for a Christmas list from my husband for me and it says, antique tablecloth, or vintage handtowels, she always buys me new ones, and tells me I will like the new ones much better than "used" hehehe! I love the kitty hat head!! So pretty!

What wonderful gifts! The kitty cat looks a lot like Miss Prim! :-) Is it a biscuit barrel? And the powder box is really beautiful!! (These are the kind of things I put on my wish list too.)

I love them all! Especially that darling kitty cat!

Love the powder box.....!!! and the MA doll. I have a few of them, but my mama has lots and lots of them! They are so cute. Just be careful that the pins do not stay in her dress too long as they might rust on the material. Very cute and adorable stuff!

Those are all so fun. There is nothing like rolling back time and collecting our found treasures. Your brothers have a good eye for the candy you love. I'd keep them in your favor if I were you.

I have that same ballerina Madame Alexander! I had forgotten about her until I came across her in a box recently, so for now she's living in my little girl's room.

LOVE that little kitty! What a darling little face it has.

My coder is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP.

I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses.
But he's tryiong none the less. I've been using Movable-type on a number of websites for about a year and am
concerned about switching to another platform.
I have heard very good things about blogengine.net. Is
there a way I can import all my wordpress posts into it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
