Today I am joining Stacey of Poofing the Pillows for the Flaunt Your Reds Friday. When I decided to do this I thought it would be easier to find red in my home.

It wasn't until I started looking around that I realized I don't have very much red. I decorate with blue mostly and neutral colors. So I will show you some of my crafts featuring red such as the jar of crocheted mushrooms above.

Red rimmed granny squares for an afghan I am working on.

I bought this Chinese lantern at a garage sale years ago from a little old lady who wanted someone to take care of it. I have struggled for years now with what to do with it. It doesn't fit my decor at all, but feel beholden to the former owner to take care of it.

A sleepy bear in his red striped nightshirt and a Madame Alexander Little Red Riding Hood, one of my all-time favorite fairy tales.

Yes, I do love mushrooms and the red capped ones are the prettiest!

I couldn't resist showing a picture of my lovely daughter in her red top. Ready for work at the Scrap Nook.

Please check out Stacey's blog and visit others who are joining in this event!

Have a wonderful weekend! Twyla

I'm partial to pink myself, but it is fun when you look at someone else's decor and colors. My hubby's mom used to have a red bedroom. I like all your red, and Little Red Riding Hood is so cute.

Good morning, Twyla! ♥

A jar full of mushrooms! Too cute! I love Little Red Riding hood, too. When I was about 5, I had a red hooded courderoy coat and I would play little red riding hood...

Lindsey looks great in red! Pretty girl! I think she's shinning with happiness over her new job. ☺

Hi Twyla! First I have to say that Lindsey is beautiful! I'm glad we saw a picture of her today.

You do have some great reds! Love the afghan squares, the mushroom, and definitely the sewing box. I really like the chinese lantern. Could you put it in the garden? I don't know a thing about those.

Thank you so much for participating in Flaunt Your Reds. Hope you have lots of sweeties come by for a visit. On Sunday we will have a drawing.

I love your crochet pieces! The mushrooms are adorable. Do you have a garden to put the chinese lantern in? It would be a lovely spot of color among green.

Hey Twyla and Lindsey!
It was so fun catching up with you both and seeing you flaunt your reds...I love that Little Red Riding Hood doll...too cute! That was one of my all time favorite childhood stories too.
It's always fun seeing the Barbie Posts too...there are so many different one's, all so pretty in their own way.... each with their own distinct style and personality. I never knew there were so many different one's. My favorite when I was a little girl, was the Golden Dream Barbie. (I believe is what she was called) My dad bought her for me, when I went to the store with him one time, and it wasn't even Christmas or my Birthday....I think that's what made me remember it so well, even to this day. Thanks for jogging a memory for me.
Thanks for stopping over on the back porch for some lemonade...thanks for the compliments on the redo too...after seeing this post of yours, with your cute mushrooms...I see why you loved my froggy vintage pillow! LOL! Our mushrooms look almost the same!
I hope you have a great day!
Big Hug,
Queenie~

Twyla, I feel it has been such a long time since I visited your blog. What a great one to catch up on! I have my mushrooms in a glass container! I am like you, no red in my house except for crafts! I am a blue person as well! You are so sweet to keep the pagoda for so many years. How about the garden? Lindsey - she looks so very happy! Her shorter hair is adorable! Have a wonderful week! E
