Collecting Irmi - Clown Switchplate

Hello friends!
I started collecting sweet vintage wood nursery accessories a few years ago.
Created by Irmi, also known as Nursey Originals and Nursery Plastics.
They created switchplates, lamps, wall hangings, mobiles and more.

I love the sweet hand painted style and colors and have managed to find several pieces that I am excited to share with you!
I have yet to find a permanent place to display my collection together due to how much space the lamps can take, but I dearly love them all!

This happy little clown always makes me smile!
Do you have an Irmi piece or remember them back in the 50's - 70's?

Wishing you a happy day, Lindsey

They sure are cute little items. I have never seen or heard of them here in Australia. Would love to see the lamps and mobiles you have too.

I still have the little mobile that was my youngest son's and went over his crib. I found a few little pieces and put them in tea cups in my doll room. You found a sweet treasure my friend! ♥

I have an Irmi nursery lamp stored in my attic that was my first babys in 1970. I really have been thinking about getting this out. I love these little painted wooden pieces and your start is adorable.

I think you were the first person to introduce me to Irmi and I began my online love affair with it! I finally have some some of my own now through blogging friends since I never find it local! ♥

I never knew what an Irmi was until blogging. I have one I bought 50 years ago, it's a pink lamp for a child. I gave it to my daughter at one point but seeing how I loved them she returned it and I use it for my bedside lamp.

My unattended blog is undergoing a revamp and will feature an article on Irmi next month, I was fortunate to interview Mr. Bering, one of the founders of the company. I posted this some time ago, in case you might be interested: http://aquamarinequeen.blogspot.com/2010/05/irmi-love.html?showComment=1296578133994#c9043823077367220875
