Twyla on Tuesday

Hello friends!
Everywhere you look fall is upon us.
I am embracing the season and doing a bit of decorating.
The pumpkin picture in the background is one I painted.

I am so loving my new adventure with mixed media art!
I must say I haven't done anything in a long time that excites
me as much and is as fulfilling.

I love mushrooms and had to feature them in one.

I really appreciated all the nice comments on last Saturday's
post showing my afghan.  There have been plenty of cool
evenings to work on it.  Watching the gently rolling ripples
grow.

My friend, Donna of Brynwood Needleworks, coined the
phrase 'obsessive creative'.  I was so happy to have a name
for what I am!  It just bugs me that I don't have time to
do everything I want to do!
Each day's activities are planed giving time for creating
top priority.
What will I be doing when I'm 100?
Hopefully, I'll still be happily creating!
Have a wonderful day and thanks for visiting with me!
Love, Twyla

Good Morning Twyla! Your artwork is really lovely, and I can definitely see the progression and your love for the craft is really coming through. It is so hard for folks like us, wanting to create and create, but being held back with our bodies. My prayer for you is that you find much ease, and much more time to create that which excites your heart.

Big Hugs,
Meri

Good morning dear Twyla! Love your pumpkin and mushroom pic! I think I spy crocheted pumpkin, too? I'm glad you've found a new art form that makes you feel happy and gives you something to look forward too!

I continue to learn that there's never going to be enough time to do everything I need to do and this sinks in a little more every year. I still say, "next year I will" but I promise myself not to get mad at me if it doesn't come to pass!

Have a great day! I'm without Bobby for a week as he made an emergency trip to see his mom who will soon leave this earth. Micah will go to Chris and Sara's for at least one day and I will be able to PLAY! ♥

You are so talented Twyla! I haven't had the "want-to" to work on any of my arts or crafts lately. I think it's just my mid-life phase. Thanks for your inspiring pics!

I enjoyed reading your blog tonight seeing all of the neat cards that you having been making plus the afghan that is being made. I know where there is one being knitted by a grandpa for his grandson's birthday this next week. It will be big enough to use as a cover on his bed. I really like the card of the two old ladies. Have a great week. Your Missouri Friend.
