Altered Cigar Box

Hello friends!
I love altering cigar boxes.
They are easy to find at most antique shops or thrift stores.

This one measure 5 3/4 x 7 3/4.
I am also using one of my favorite lines of paper for this.
Circa 1934 by Cosmo Cricket.  I have done several projects with this line and never get tired of it! When I was pulling out my stash for this project I pulled out these 2 lovely women from a sewing pattern. They were so cute and matched the paper so well, that I decided to use them for the front.

Another fun product I used is film strip ribbon.
It's by Tim Holtz and it is awesome!  I highly recommend it!
You glue your paper to the film strip and then bend and shape your ribbon as you attach it to your projects.

I love seeing how many layers
I can add without taking away from the general look and feel of it!

I also enjoy covering the inside too!
Perfect size box for holding vintage greeting cards!

Wishing you all a lovely day, Lindsey

What in the world can't you do sweet Lindsey? You make the most awesome treasures. I wish I could have afforded to buy up all your tags in my store instead of returning them. They were so awesome, I miss them. Still one more box to come for mom. I am trying to make only one more trip and I'm still packing two more vendors items.

Hi! I always love to see what you girls are up to! Your cigar box reminded me of a free DOWNLOAD for a cigar box I saw on the blog,
"Just Something I Made" (she has great graphics talents!)

Also have you seen Amy Power's lastest ONLINE issue, "Happy Birthday Inspired Ideas"? You can get to it via my blog!

Take care, keep creating!

I hope to be given to buy all your bookmarks in my store rather than returned. Was terrible so I miss them. Is still one of the box to come to my mother. I am trying to make just one more.
