Hello Friends!
I've had a busy week with cousins from out of state.
Cousins who love antiques as much as I do!
Which means I've been out on day trips 4 out of 7 days!
I'm not complaining!
One of my sweet finds is this kitty planter.
This very pretty little pitcher was just right
to hold some of my paint brushes.
I was just really taken with this little luncheon cloth
that some woman in a time past, painstakingly
cut, pieced, appliqued and blanket stitched.
She used feed sack in such pretty calicos and the
black stitching frames them all so nicely.
I really appreciate her hard work on this and admire
her crafting abilities. It would be wonderful to know
what occasion she made it for and what her inspiration was.
I just wish she'd have had a blog so she could have said,
"Look what I made this week!"
Guess that's where I come in, showing off her
lovely work.
Thanks for visiting with me today!
You all mean so much to me!
Love, Twyla

Good Morning, What sweet finds. I love the old planters and I am fond of cats especially. How perfect to use the pitcher for your small brushes. My favorite of these is the luncheon cloth. The black stitching really sets off the cozy prints. Someone would be thrilled to know her lovely work of "heart" is being displayed here!
Love that sweet kitty planter, the pitcher for your brushes AND the gorgeous hand-made tulip cloth! Great finds dear Twyla, HUGS!
What fun and great finds! I love that luncheon cloth. :) Happy Tuesday!
Aw, don't you know she'd be tickled to know that we are admiring her stiching? :)
Morning Tywla!
Fun finds :) So many shops in those few days..I think I would be on shopping "overload"... in a good way!
Warmly,
deb
What a great idea for the paint brushes. I have some of my great grandmothers old English china...i am going to look for something similar for my brushes...:) Cute blog.
Glad you have had a fun week with your cousins! Nothing better than family! I LOVE the appliqued tablecloth you found. So pretty.
Oh these finds are great I especially love the pitcher with your brush in it.
Sounds like you are having a wonderful visit! All your finds are just adorable...especially the kitty planter. It reminds me of Figaro, the kitten from the old Disney cartoon Figaro and Cleo.
Have a great week!
