What can I say?
Joplin is my kind of town.
Joplin is my kind of town.
It's one of our favorite playgrounds.
We go there to shop at some of our favorite
antique stores and eat at some of our favorite restaurants.
Range Line Road, if you can imagine, is miles of enticements
from Michael's, Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's to Cheddar's, Freddy's, and
the best Golden Corral.
It is breaking our hearts to see Joplin suffering after
one of the most devastating tornadoes in Missouri history.
The death toll is climbing higher.
Over 2000 buildings destroyed.
30% of the town destroyed.
Peoples' faith . . . strong!
Please pray for these people who are in
great shock, grief and need.
Thank you for visiting and caring for the
people of Joplin.
Love, Twyla

Sure will, such a terrible thing for those folks. I can't even begin to imagine.
I saw this on the news here in Australia last night - it is very sad, can't begin to imagine what the people of Joplin are going through. I had never heard of Joplin til I saw it on the news and then I saw your post...
At times like this words can't describe people's pain and despair and words can't put their lives back together again, but I will be praying for them all.

Feeling so sad for all those in Joplin. I{m sending money to the Red Cross, like I always do after a disaster. This one was so close, I feel like I should be doing more. Going to see if any of the area churches are coordinating relief efforts or blanket drives, or whatever...
Twyla and Lindsey,
I'm happy to meet you but wish the circumstances were different. My heart aches for the people of Joplin. We will definitely keep them in our prayers. I wish we lived closer so we could help somehow. We have friends who are youth pastors nearby... and I know they are trying to help.
I'm happy to meet you two ladies and look forward to getting to know you better.
Have a blessed day...

I live outside Branson and feel so bad for these people, the stories coming out are so sad- We helped with cleanup in Arkansas after two tornados hit our town there--but that now seems small compared to the devastation and lives lost in Joplin--and more bad weather on the way- we will definitely being praying
I know the Lord is bringing courage and comfort to these hurting ones. Twyla, your caring heart is a blessing to me! ♥
That is just terrible, I hope the people are able to put their lives back in some type of order soon... positive thoughts are sent their way~ oxox, Diane
Definitely praying for the people of Jopling. Tornadoes are swirling around us in Oklahoma City right now!
Twyla & Lindsey - I am so heartbroken for the people of Joplin. They have definitely been in my prayers. So devastating to watch - I'm so sorry. Love to all of you - I have been ill - will try to email you soon. xoxo
Yes, praying here for them and many others suffering such tragedy and loss. Sometimes, all we CAN do is pray for one another.
