Autumn Cards and Craftiness

Hello friends!
I found some time to play in my craft room today. I was feeling in the mood to craft with all the beautiful Fall colors that are just starting to really turn here in our area. So I picked out Doodlebug's Happy Harvest and Imaginisce Fall line and created these cards.

Both of these lines really complement
each other and have similar colors.

I am so addicted to adding "stitch" lines around my card
using my favorite Signo white gel pen.

This is my favorite season. I love Fall or Autumn.
I usually say both. Not quite sure which I prefer. Lol

This is also a great time to pull out the rolls of brown twine.
Makes the perfect accent to Fall crafts.

And I finished off my crafty day with a tag!
I used Ripe Persimmon, Peeled Paint and
Vintage Photo Distress Inks to create my tag background.
The bow is seam binding which I dyed with Peeled Paint Distress Stain.

Wishing you a lovely day, Lindsey

Quilt Block Barn

Hello!
This week I am sharing this sweet
old barn that proudly sports a quilt block.
It sort of plays peek-a-boo behind the crop.
It sits in Cooper County, Missouri, near
Lamine.  You can click on the picture to
see it more closely.

The fall is going to be beautiful this year!
The trees are turning every day!
Where is the time going?!  I can
hardly keep up!

Back from Vacation!

Hello dear friends!
I have been traveling the last couple
of weeks!  I will take you on a whirlwind
 tour of where I visited.
First off was Murfreesburo, Arkansas to the
Crater of Diamonds state park.

Shortly after stepping onto the field I was mired
in mud.  Do you see any diamonds?!  Neither did I :(
We've gone seven times over the years and one thing
I don't enjoy is hunting in the mud.  The next day was
better.  We spent three days there.

I was in St. Louis, twice!  Forest Park, antique
stores, good food, the art museum.

There is so much to do in St. Louis!

We traveled back to Arkansas to spend a day
in Eureka Springs.  It was a gorgeous day!

We had breakfast at the Crystal Dining
room at the Crescent, then walked all over town
and went in most of the shops!

We finished up vacation week by spending two days in
Arrow Rock, MO at the annual craft festival.  I love this town.
I can't explain it, but my heart is there.  I think about it
all the time and visit as often as I can.  It is my dream to
live here someday.

Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning, Great is Your
faithfulness." - Lamentations 3:22, 23

Have a beautiful day!

Playing With My Inks

Hello friends!
What a busy month this has been so far,
but I guess this is what we have to get used to from now until Christmas!
This week I have been enjoying an online class taught by Tim Holtz.
I've only managed to find a few minutes to play, but have learned so much this week!
I thought I would share this quick little tag I created tonight using Distress Inks and my fav Tim stamp set. I also used Tim's new Distress Glitter which has quickly become a new favorite in my craft room. They come in 24 colors and look more like a vintage glass glitter. I have to admit, I own all 24 colors!

Walking and a Barn!

Hi!  It's been awhile since I gave
you an update on my walking!  One of
the lovely things about walking the Katy trail
is that it takes you right through the country.
Right where people live - and right where
people don't - anymore.

I am always curious about these old houses
that for some reason are abandoned and not
taken care of.  In the case of the one above I think
it's very sad because it's such a lovely little house.
I loved the scrolls and gingerbread on the porch.
It was all still intact!

The one below would have been someone's
farm where I can just imagine all the living
and working that went on here over the years.
As they say, "If walls could talk!"
You can see the barn to the side.

Speaking of barns, it's not Tuesday without a
barn picture.  This one sat high on the trail and I
could only use my imagination as to what lay on
the other side.  It looked pretty sitting there in the
clouds though.

"If my people who are called by My name will humble
themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from
their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will
forgive their sin and heal their land." - 2 Chronicles 7:14

Quilt Block Barn

Hello Ladies!
This week's barn is located in
Saline County, Missouri.
I drove by it when I visited Arrow Rock
last week.  I was so pleased with how the
picture turned out!  It depicts what a
pretty day it was!
Love the quilt block on this one!

I am joining Tricia for Barn Charm.
Thank you for hosting these past 3
years!
