Victorian Valentine Envelope

Hello friends!
I have officialy started valentine crafting!
My first project was to take this cool metal envelope
and create this lovely vintage style wall hanging!

I started by painting the metal envelope that I found at a thrift shop.
I then sprinkled it with glitter and started adding embellishments.

Velvet flowers always look pretty when trying to create a vintage feel for projects!

This envelope has 2 victorian valentine images that I printed on heavy cardstock from my own personal collection.

This altered valentine envelope is now in the etsy shop!

Have lovely day, Lindsey

Now that must be hard to part with. That metal envelope is such a great find! If I wasn't saving to get our car fixed, I'd buy it myself!

I knew the day would arrive very soon where Lindsey would be up to her chin in Valentine splendor. What a sweet keep for valentines. I keep mine in a little valentine lunch pail. I must go find it!

Hi Lindsey,

What a beautiful wall pocket/envelope.....very nice. Can it hold more cards, and do the two cards you've made come with it??? Come check out my first valentine shadowbox!

Hugs,

Thank you for stopping by my blog and yes we are getting snow. We have 8" on the ground and it is still snowing. I got sent home from work early today and I don't know if I will work tomorrow or not. Depends on when the snow stops and if I can get out of my driveway. I love your Valentine Metal Envelope. You come up with some of the neatest ideas. Your Missouri Friend

I just realized that it has been about one year since I first discovered your blog. The valentine cards were what caught my attention back then and I have read faithfully ever since!
