Hello! The sweet and talented Elizabeth of Creative Breathing sent me an awesome package this week.

She sent me 2 vintage Barbie books. I love them so much. The one called Barbie Goes to a Party has Midge in it too!

Also this week Our Friend that sent Mom the vintage potholders also sent me a package too! She had been asking me about the new 5oth Anniversary Barbie items at Wal Mart and as it turned out her Wal Mart carried several things that ours didn't. So she was so sweet and gave me the pieces that I didn't have. Now I have the whole collection! She gave me the awesome bag, magnets, and luggage tag.

Here is the reproduction case, travel mug, and playing cards that I found.

And here is the 50th anniversary Barbie!

The photo is of the creator, Ruth Handler and her family.

I found a stack of Barbie trading cards at a flea market this weekend. Here is one of the cards. I'll show more of the cards later.

Thank you for stopping by, Lindsey

I'm glad it's Barbie Tuesday! I stayed up late just for this, since I have noticed before that your post is made at midnight. Those books are so sweet and I have always loved the blue and green prom gown on the cover of the first one. Glad you have a nice collection of the 50th anniversary stuff now!Do you see on the trading card that Barbie's Enchanted Evening dress has little beads sewn on the waist? My original, from 1962, had those. I have seen in some of the collector books (& on my anniversary-don't know which one- repro) that their is a ribbon rose. I wish I knew where Mama put my original!LOVE THIS POST!

Good morning, scrapbook store girl! ☺

I've never seen a Barbie book so those were my favorites from today.

Don't know if I ever mentioned that my mom's name was Barbara and she went by Barb. She was also very fashionable just like Barbie. ♥

Hope to hear more about your new job!

Hi Lindsey! Oh, man - I didn't know anything about 50th Anniversary Barbie stuff at Walmart - are these things that you think might be there right now? I hardly ever go there, and I can't even afford to spend any money right now - but I may just have to pay that store a visit! I am not sure I can resist!

Lindsey, The case I found at the antique market this weekend and took a picture of is just like the reproduction case, but it is red. I love the 50th Barbie. I remember getting her and all of her subsequent friends. Happy memories! So glad you got the books, the images are so great in them. Elizabeth

That 50th anniversary Barbie is so cool! So, now, do you rent out a warehouse to put all your Barbie stuff in? Where on earth do you store it all!? I imagine the Barbie stash would take up a whole room all by itself. ;)
