This week's church is in the beautiful
historic town of Defiance, Missouri
I had the pleasure of visiting there
last weekend.
Defiance is where Daniel Boone made
his homestead in Missouri and where
he and his son built a stone house.
You can take tours of the house and
grounds. I would recommend it if you
are ever in the area.
Be sure to visit Inspired Sunday
for more beautiful churches!
"Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!" - Psalm 27:14
Have a beautiful day!

I love old churches, thanks for sharing on this beautiful Sunday morning! Happy July 4th celebrations!
I do love visiting old homes and stepping back in time. The afghan in your previous post is so very pretty. I haven't been crocheting much at all. Hope to get my mojo back soon. Blessings, Tammy
Beautiful little church. So many similar ones out this way. It seems the Scandinavians were here very early. MB

Thank you for sharing it in InSPIREd Sunday!
I hope we can visit it someday... Daniel Boone... I have the CD's...the GK's love watching them.... What history...
That looks typical of rural American churches.
What a beautiful Church! I would like to know more of the history of the building styles of Churches during a certain era. It would also be fun to compare them from state to state. Our Church was a labor of love and gift for the Lord and His people here in our very rural corner of GA.
Thanks for mentioning Danile Boone--now I want to watch the program. I'll put on my Ed Ames CD!
Pretty country church sitting on a hill, like that.
