This week's barn comes from a 'field trip' I took
last week to a very interesting Missouri park.
It's called Missouri Town 1855.
It's in Jackson County near Lee's Summit.
It is a town that was recreated from old buildings to
show what life was like in a village in the mid-1800's.
They also have animals in the park such as these
sheep. It was neat to see the little lambs.
There are many buildings such as this one as well as
other barns. I will show you more in another post.
I really loved the chickens!
I'm linking to Barn Charm. Be sure to visit to
see more interesting barns!
For those of you who are wondering,
I am still putting the border on the afghan I am
crocheting. I will have it done to post a picture
of it tomorrow:)

Have a wonderful day!

That is a great looking barn! Nice capture.
How neat, I'd love to check that out. Love the barn, esp the stone foundation. It looks so nice, the roof, windows & cupola! Looks like a nice house, too... but nobody lives there? It's just for show? I'll take it! LoL! =)
I love visiting restored buildings and old towns. Looks like a great place to visit!
In some ways, I'd like to experience life in those times... wonderful pictures that put me there. Thanks! :-)
Didn't you just love this place!
When I was growing up we went their a lot.
Check out their activity calendar
closer to the holidays, it's great
to visit then.
:)
How pretty your pictures are. There are not many older buildings here where I live, but, I have always loved to look at them. My parent's home is over 140 years old, and they have an old red barn. I love it.
That is really a pretty barn. I love the stone foundation. Nice find.
Beautiful barn and photos, Twyla! I hadn't heard of the park. Looks like a wonderful place to visit!
