Lindsey and I had such a delightful time this weekend participating in the Mad Hatter Tea Party. I am speechless that we got 100 + comments! I never, in my wildest dreams, thought we would be visited by so many thoughful people. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. It meant so much to me. If you haven't seen the post, it is the one below. We enjoyed making it a fun event.
My son and I had a chance to do some antique shopping this weekend. He found this little pink kitten salt or pepper shaker. Since it no longer has it's mate, it was only $1.
If you read my posts, you know I collect these motto prints. He bought me this one as an early birthday present. It is absolutely one of the most gorgeous ones in my collection.
Lindsey and I have so much fun going to the craft stores. We are blessed to have a Michael's, Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's in our town. Yesterday we went to Michael's and they had their rubber stamps on sale. Of course, I had to have the mushroom stamp and I thought the little bird stamp was just too pretty.
Is there such a thing as blue cherries? Well, in my world there are. I found this gorgeous blue yarn at Michael's and couldn't resist making blue cherries. What do you think?
Lindsey and I adore vintage post cards and some flea markets have so many they provide chairs for you to sit and go through them. We can spend Lots of time going doing this. This is one I chose just because the art work is so amazing. It is dated 1909. It was to Lulu, from Mabel. I love the sentiment on this card, it is very humbling.
No, it's not Christmas in June, but I love finding cards with these pointed roofed houses! This one is so charming with it's colorful artwork that I didn't even mind that it was a little imperfect.
This one just made me happy!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. It is my favorite time of year. There is a carefree attitude about summer with a hint of magic. I think it goes back to my childhood why I feel this way.
Have a wonderful week and remember to have some fun! Twyla
