Lil Inker Designs Blog Hop - Sugar Kissed Cottage

Hello friends!
Thank you for visiting us for Day 4 of the Color Team New Release Blog Hop!

Today, I am super excited to share with you the first 3 stamps
from my new line by me, The Sugar Kissed Cottage!
I've collaberated with Lil Inker Designs to bring you vintage inspired images, perfect for card making and papercrafting!

The fabulous Karen Baker which is Lil Inker Design's newest
graphics designer created the sentiments for each set!!!

So let me show you these stamps!

The Rain Boy set has so many fun uses!
I stamped this image onto several paper and patterns to create this fun
paper pieced card. His face, hair and shoes were colored using Copic markers.

This Surprise Birthday set is so fun and the image could be used for a variety of different occasions!

I love this one! I find I want to use it for everything!
It's my favorite set as of right now.
(but I keep changing my mind!)
The image on this card was colored using Copic markers.

This School Girl set is perfect for this season!!
I love coloring this one and the sentiments are awesome!

If you would like to purchase any of these sets you can find them available exclusively through Lil' Inker Designs here.

I colored the image with Copic markers and cut her out. I then layered and ripped a variety of papers to create this card.

If you didn't find yourself here from The Lil Inker Designs blog, you can visit it here!

A reminder, as you visit the blogs from our Color Team Designers, leave comments along the way. We'll be picking 2 winners from a secret prize blog along our hop this week and each can choose 2 stamp sets from our new releases, a $20 prize value!

Now head on to Laura Nehring's blog!

Have a lovely day, Lindsey

Twyla on Tuesday - Where Am I?

Hello dear friends!
If you've read my posts for very long, then you
know that I love to travel around my state of Missouri.

I have a goal to visit all the counties in the state.  There are 114 counties
in Missouri and I have visited 72  .
I am extremely interested in Missouri history and fascinated
with the many places that I visit.  Whether it's a common
tourist attraction or a peaceful country road.  I am
enjoying my journey of discovery.
I thought it would be fun from time to time to
share with you a picture from my travels and
see if you can guess where I am.
Any ideas?!
You don't have to be from Missouri to
have heard of what this monument is for.
Thanks for stopping in for a visit!
Have a wonderful day!
Love, Twyla

Twyla on Tuesday - Olympic Afghan

Hello ladies!
This week I wanted to share with you my Olympic afghan!

I am calling it my Olympic afghan because I wanted a
project to work on while watching the Olympics that
would be simple and not take very much concentration.
This one is just perfect!

It's a simple half double crochet and great way to use up
my yarn stash.  I love the stripes, too!
Are you watching the Olympics?  I always look forward
to them.  I admire the commitment and dedication of
the athletes.  It's one thing that brings the family
together around the television and it's always
nice when that happens.

It is very inspiring to see the wonderful attitudes of
the young athletes.  The way they graciously win or lose.
They are all winners for being able to participate.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I'll share
my afghan with you as it progresses.  I hope to have it
done by the end of the Olympics!
Have a beautiful day!
Love, Twyla

Little Boy Blue Mini Album

Hello friends!
Last week, I shared a Baby Girl mini album using Crate Paper's Little Bo Peep paper line. This week, I am sharing the Baby Boy mini album using Crate Paper's Little Boy Blue paper line!

I also used Crafty Secrets vintage boy stickers with
this paper line and they coordinated perfectly!

The colors of this paper are so lovely and the red
gingham ribbon matched so well.

My favorite pattern was the blue paper with red polka dots!!

I highly recommend this paper line for all you retro/vintage fans out there!!

I listed this album here on ebay.

Twyla on Tuesday - Birthday Trip to the Zoo

Hello dear friends!
I want to thank you all for your birthday wishes
last Tuesday!  It was my birthday and my family
and I spent the day at the St. Louis Zoo!

I had so much fun taking pictures!  There was so much
to see.  It is a very magical place and of course I was
mesmerized by the carousel.

The grizzly bear was fun to watch.  He kept turning circles and would
jump in the water to cool off.

The giraffes are one of Lindsey's favorite animals!

One of my favorite exhibits is the flight cage.  It was
built in 1904 for the World's Fair that took place right
here on these grounds.

There's also a butterfly pavillion, and believe me, it's
not easy catching one still enough to photograph!

I really enjoyed watching the black necked swans skimming
around their pool.  So beautiful and peaceful.  I could have
watched them all day.

The new sea lion tunnel was awesome!  You can walk through
and watch them swimming over and around you.

It was well over 100 degrees that day, but there were plenty of
indoor exhibits for us to get in out of the heat so we paced
ourselves.  I had a great birthday!  The best part was that for
the first time in what seemed like forever, all of my family was
off on my birthday!  What a great gift that was!
Thank you all for visiting the zoo with me today!
Have a wonderful day!
Love, Twyla

Mad Tea Party 2012

Welcome all who enter here!

Once in a lifetime, or maybe twice, something magical
happens to you.  Will you follow me into Alice's Tea
Room and see what awaits?!

What's this?!
A fine table set with enchanting games and treats.
Sure to lure us into the magical world inside.

A sip of tea wouldn't hurt.
Or a delectable looking cookie!
Should we?  What could happen?
I don't think there would be any harm.

Why, there is even instructions inviting us to eat!

Oh, you must be our host!
Thank you, Alice, for inviting us in.
It's truly a lovely party!

And who might this be?
A party guest for sure!
And a couple of cheeky rabbits!

What is that?!
Oh, no!

Look what happened to Alice!
She now is small enough to fit in the cup!
Something tells me we'll be sorry for drinking
that tea!

Well, never mind.  We've had so much fun
I don't even mind being small for awhile.
I've enjoyed meeting everyone and especially
this handsome fellow!
I think I've made a new friend!
Maybe I will take him home with me.

It's been a wonderful day of parties and much thanks and
appreciation goes to Miss Vanessa, at A Fanciful Twist,
for hosting this marvelous, enchanting event!
Thank you all for stopping by our little party.
It's been a pleasure!

Little Bo Peep

Hello friends!
When I spotted Crate Paper's new Little Bo Peep paper line I couldn't wait to get my hands on it! I had to have this cute retro baby themed paper line!

So sweet and retro, this paper line is just dreamy!
I also purchased Crafty Secrets retro baby Girl stickers
to make this sweet baby album.

I pulled out my lace patterned border punches and pink flowers
to make this album feel girly and cute!

I thought I would pull out my vintage baby cards and use in my album, but the paper line was so full of sweet graphics that I didn't have room for more!

This sweet pattern with yellow birds on a light
aqua background was my favorite!
This paper line is new and should be available
at your local store or online.
I highly recommend it!
This album has been listed in my ebay shop.

Have a beautiful day, Lindsey
