New Planters!

Hello friends!

This past weekend I found a couple

of new pieces of pottery to add to my

collection.  I thought you might like

to see them!

 

I just love these pastel planters!

I actually have the tulip planter in a

pretty blue and the one with the bow,

I have one in aqua.

 

They are addictive!

I just couldn't pass up these

in such pretty colors and they

were both inexpensive!

Barn Charm

      Hello! I am excited to share a barn with you this week that has been catching my eye for some time!  I travel along I-44 in Missouri all the time.   I could see this barn in the distance and it always makes me smile!  A red and white striped barn is a happy sight!  

    It took some figuring how to get close enough to get a picture, but an outer road took us right by.  I so wanted to share this special barn with all of you who appreciate barns!   Be sure to visit Tricia for other great barns!

Happy Card Making

tomorrow is my monthly card class I teach at Scrapbook Generation.

It always amazes me how quickly they come around.

Where is this year going? Can I make it slow down some, please?

 

 

I had a lot of fun creating this set of cards. I think they are some of my favorites! I love bright happy colors and lots of layering and patterns.

Barn Charm

 

Hello!

 

I particularly like this week's barn

because of the striking black and white

color combination.  Add that great white

fence and it was a real heart stopper!

 

These pictures were taken at the beginning

of spring right before the trees bloomed out

but the grass was already green.

 

 

 

This beautiful farm is near Cassville, MO.

The reflection on the back of the barn is just

an illusion.

Vintage Summer Mini Album

 

Hello friends!

I made this paperbag album to match the set of tags

 I shared here on my blog earlier in the week.

 

 

I used Crate Paper's Pier line for this mini.

I just loved the soft pastel feel of these papers. So sweet!

 

I also printed cute vintage graphics from Pinterest

 to add more detail and an older feel to the album.

 

This is my favorite page in the album.

I just love that little ferris wheel.

 

I used Martha Stewart border punches all throughout.

 I am so addicted to these!

Vintage Summer Tags

 

Hello friends!

I was playing around in my craft room the other night and created this set of tags.

I was going with a vintage beach theme.

 

I used a really dreamy paper line called The Pier by Crate Paper. I printed vintage graphics that I found on Pinterest to add that extra vintage touch!

 



 

I started out with #8 tags which are 3 x 6 1/4 tags

 and inked them using Distress Inks.

 

I also dyed seam binding with Distress Stain to coordinate with the tags.

 

A fun project! I love making these little works of art!

 

These tags have been added to my ebay shop!

I came across this barn near Augusta, MO.

It sits near the Katy Trail.

The area is so beautiful and one of my favorite

places to visit.  There are lots of farms and

rolling hills.

Shabby Chic Cowgirl Mini Album

 

Hello friends!

When I spotted this Prairie Chic collection by Bo Bunny I just knew I had to make an album with it. For this one I decided to make it into a chipboard album.

I used the 6x6 album by Farmhouse Paper company that you can find at Hobby Lobby.

 

 

What I wasn't expecting was how chunky this book would end up being.

It also has quite a few more pages than my paperbag albums.

This is as closed as it gets!

 

 

This was a super fun album to make. The cute shabby chic style and patterns with fun cowgirl accents really made for a fun combination.

 

 

As always, I added lots of flowers. I also added glittered chipboard swirls and little bits of washi tape throughout the album.

 

I couldn't believe how this book grew

as I added more and more pages. Luckily the paper line was full of so many fun graphics and patterns to make this album layered and full.

Baby Planter Steamboat

 

Hello friends!

 

It's been a long time since I shared with

you one of my vintage finds!

 

I still visit antique malls all over Missouri

and frequently come home with treasures,

although, I don't buy as many as I used to!

My shelves are bursting!

 

 

I have a big collection of baby planters.  They are

just so cute and hard to resist!   The pastel colors

also appeal to me.  I haven't gotten a new one in

a long time, but when I spotted this one I was

smitten!  I love steamboats also and to find a

baby planter steamboat was just irresitable!!!

Barn Charm

Hello dear friends!

 

I absolutely love this beautiful gray barn!

I discovered it hidden away in a beautiful valley

in Eastern Missouri.  It sits across a field from

the Missouri river.

 

I can't imagine a more romantic farm!

The old white farmhouse was equally as charming.

Vintage Style Patriotic Paperbag Mini Album

 

Hello friends!

I have been a bit behind on my crafting lately.

I picked up this gorgeous vintage style 4th of July themed paper from

Bo Bunny's Anthem line. I finally got it finished on the 4th!

 

 

I printed vintage graphics that I found on Pinterest

 to add more vintage details to it.

 

I also added stickers from Authentique's Pride collection which also

 had a nice antique feel. And of course I like to add lots of flowers!

 



 

I love this Martha Stewart border punch.

 It creates perfect holes for hand stitching!

 

This was such a fun mini album to make. I love doing the paperbag style

 the best. It measures 6x6. They are easy to put together and I feel

 like it gives a nice background for my vintage themed style.

 

I love the recent trend of creating Polaroid style photo mats.

 Such a brilliant idea!

Inspired Sunday

Hello!

I am joining Inspired Sunday.

 

 

 

This week I am sharing a church located

in New Melle, Missouri.

St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Built in the mid 1800's.  I loved the stone

exterior.  This is the back of the church.



 

 

The front of the church, built later.

 



 

 

Only two tombstones still stood in the churchyard.

This is an old German community and is still a

lovely little town.
