I love the old-fashioned Hollyhock! Now there's a real flower for you! Puppet and I still make dolls from them: the unopened buds (the turbaned heads of the glamorous dancers dolls) added to the full blossoms (the fancy ballgowns)! We've been known to even put lipstick on their little faces!

Oh..what would summer be without Holly Locks!!! (that is what we called them as children..lol)
Played with those flowers a many day when I was little.

Love these postcards. My hollyhocks are about a foot tall already and I can hardly wait to see them taller and in bloom. They're a great vintage flower. Love that bumblebee too!

I love hollyhocks. I remember them in my Great-Aunt's garden towering above me.
