Barbie Wednesday

Hello friends!
Today's Barbie Wednesday is about Mattel's Teacher Barbies.
In 1965 Mattel released this outfit called, "Student Teacher" #1622. The outfit came with Black Glasses, a
geography book, a globe, and a pointer.  The tiny accessories are very rare and hard to find. Some sets came with  pointy red heels whcih would make the set more valuble. This set was also the last to include Barbie's black cat eye glasses.

This was a the set that I had as a child. Released in 1995, this set included a chalkboard, and 2 desks.

I loved playing with this set!!! The chalkboard had a button that when pressed you would hear Barbie talking or the sounds of clocks ticking or bells ringing.

In 2006 Mattel released this beautiful Barbie as part of the Silkstone collection.

This year Mattel released the reproduction set of the Student Teacher Barbie. It's available at Target and most Wal Mart's.

Also released this year is this cute Barbie tote!

Come back tomorrow for Mom's Twyla Tuesday post!!!

Wishing you a day of fun, Lindsey

  3. Hi, Lindsey! Those sure are some stylin' student teachers! I wonder what it's like to try and walk in heels and a pencil skirt? :) I'll never know!

Those little school kids sure are cute! ♥
