I found these sweet vintage cards at a flea market on Saturday.
This reproduction enamelware spoon holder was one of Mom's great finds!
Another beautiful piece of Folk Art Pfaltzgraff to add to Mom's collection! In a cute basket weave design!
Some of you know I tried getting a job there but I was too late.
We were there as soon as they opened. It was very busy. We were packed in there like sardines! It was hard to see everything, so I look forward to going back soon and seeing everything better!
Whenever I could find an empty spot I took a picture. I was able to show most of the store. It's not very big but I am already in love with it!

The women working there were very friendly as were the owner's family. In fact the owner's daughter was so sweet! I wore a Twilight shirt that day and when she saw it she commented on it. Later in the day we came back for a drawing and when we walked in the door she said, "It's Twilight girl!"
I hope that if you are ever in the Springfield, MO area that you will stop in. Maybe you'll see me there!
Wishing you happiness, Lindsey
Hi Lindsey,
ReplyDeleteI bet you'll end up working there!!
What a nice store.
Hey...that baby book is just like MINE...oops...now you know how old I am!! LOL
Love the poodle card and the other vintage ones. Looks like a fun time shopping this weekend.
Warmly,
Deb :)
You are e not the only one with a baby book like that!
DeleteCute vintage cards! That scrapbook store look like someplace that would be hard to drag me OUT of, LOL! :)
ReplyDeleteLindsey, were you hiding in the store taking pictures? I'm always too chicken to ask if I can take pictures. I have hidden in model homes before and taken pictures...
ReplyDeleteYou and your mom have a great week!!
I love those old time cards, my mom has a bunch from when my brother and I were little..... You both have got me interested in this scrapbook art stuff. you make such beautiful things....Hugs Jennifer : )
ReplyDeleteYou live near Branson! My husband has promised me a trip there next year. I hear it is such a lovely place with lots to see. Be a regular customer and you will be on their minds if a position opens up. Have a great week. Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteThe cards and baby book are darling! And I love Mom's utensils and holder. Just keep your application updated at that neat scrapbooking store and I'll bet that they may need you some day! People are always quitting for one reason or the other.I am starting to collect twin things because I have twin girls, 28 years old. I was lucky enough to get a precious twins pink baby book off of ebay.It is probably from the '50's. Not written in, but has a gift inscription on the inside. Blessings, Sarita
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Lindsey! Twilight girl! ☺ ♥
ReplyDeleteI've never seen an enamel ware spoon holder like that. That *was* a score.
Thanks for the pics of the store. I've only been in a scrap book store once and there was no one else there! I felt so sorry for the owner but then I saw the prices and thought, "Well, no wonder!" I hope the prices are better at your store. Oh, I hope you do get to work there. I wonder if you'd get a di$count??
Have a great day! ♥
It sounds like you and your mom had a great time....I love seeing all of the finds, and I can imagine the fun you had finding them too!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering, by any chance.... if you might happen to know the age of my white Christmas Musical..... that I found over the weekend?
Hope you have a great week!
Big Hug,
Queenie~
A day off is the bestest in the world!! Especially when you visit such nifty places and score some wonderful vintage cards too!!

That is so funny, my baby book is almost identical to that. I even have that exact same picture in it of the 2 little girls and one boy. It is my favorite picture because I have one brother and one sister. I was born in 1964, I will have to see if there is a date in my baby book when it was made. Maybe I will put it on my pink post Saturday. I hope you get a job at the scrapbook store, it looks just like one I go to.

Hi ladies, thanks for linking to my blog- yours is beautiful, so glad I discovered it! The vintage cards are stunning and I hope you enjoy a more leisurely stroll around your new scrapbook store soon, Amanda
ReplyDeleteI still have my and my husbands' baby books, My younger brother drew in mine all over, what a shame!
ReplyDeleteI used to live in Springfield, MO near Branson, grew up there but now in North Carolina, my family still lives there.
Nice Michaels, I don;t have one close to me anymore for all the sweet finds there and internet ordering is more costly!
That is one of the bad things about moving to the middle of no where in the forest!( LOL)
I adore your pinterest boards, following and having fun there!
Smiles, cyndi
