Hi Ladies!
It's been some time since I've shared some of my finds and I need to catch you up!
This sweet little pair of button top baby shoes pulled at my heartstrings.
This little figurine caught my eye.
There is no marking on her and she was only $1.00.
She reminded me of Hummel.
I Love these old cups and buy them when I find them. I will share my whole collection soon.
My dear friend, Susan had a birthday Monday so we had a party for her last night.
If you've been reading our blog for awhile you know how we choose a theme for our birthday
parties.
She loves to feed the birds who visit her yard so that was her theme.
The color scheme we chose was blue and white. I bought unfinished birdhouses and painted them to
match. Lindsey cut out birds from blue scrapbook paper.
The table looked really sweet.
I spray painted a limb from the yard and we tacked it to the wall.
It was lots of fun and we believe people should feel special on their birthdays!
I hope you all are having a wonderful week and enjoying springtime!
Wishing you much happiness!
Twyla

Parties are always so much more fun with a theme! Your friend must have felt so special at her party, with the theme all about her love of the birds.
ReplyDeleteI just got a book about old figurines, and your little windswept girl could be Napco. She's darling!
Your friend must love being your friend! How wonderful to spoil her with what she loves the most. I love birthdays too because they are so personal vs. a traditional holiday. You two do it up good! Have a happy week. Posting on the troll under the Seattle bridge tomorrow. It'll make you smile!

How in the world did I miss Twyla on Tuesdays?! I know what it was... I slept extra late yesterday and my whole day was off its rocker!
ReplyDeleteSusan's party looked so sweet! The branch was a great idea for the theme! ♥
Those shoes are so cute! I love all the birdies for Susan too. I hope she had a wonderful birthday!
ReplyDeleteSherry
Oh my word, those shoes! I am so glad to see them in new condition.
ReplyDeleteI have them but they are not in good condition. I have a framed photo of my MIL in a cute baby dress and shoes. I was going through some of her belongings and came across the actual dress and shoes. The suade on the shoes are still soft but the black is cracking and dry. I posted them on my blog under Heirloom Items. Now I can see what they look like new. Would it be possible to use your photo of the new shoes on my blog and link back to your post?
Again.. Happy pink saturday!
