Would you like to meet my Valentine?
Who has stolen my heart?
This little guy has my heart.
His name is Muffin and he is our four year old Bolognese.
You already know that I have been a crocheting maniac lately. Would you believe I've made another afghan?! This one is just one large granny square. I wanted to use these colors together. I think the combination turned out pretty. I used Red Heart's Light Blue, Cherry Red and Pale Yellow.
Annie's Attic 101 Granny Squares book is a wonderful inspiration.

I adore old postcards and have collected a few Valentine ones. I don't find them as plentiful as some other holidays.
I thought this next one was sweet because it showed the love between a mother and child. We have always celebrated Valentine's day in our house. It is one of Lindsey's favorite holidays. We've always considered it a holiday of love.
I hope you enjoy these images. Feel free to use them as you wish. We have them displayed in our vignette.
Have a wonderful day!
Twyla
Hi Twyla. I always look forward to clicking on the post you and Lindsey put up because I know they're gonna be full of yummy pictures. And not one of these pictures missed the mark. Muffin is adorable. I couldn't imagine my house with out a small sweet dog who becomes an absolute family member. The colors of the afghan are so cottage sweet. Oh' how I wish I would learn to do that. And your postcards are always the sweetest things. Thanks for always sharing.

Hi Twyla!
ReplyDeleteOh! Muffin has stolen my heart too. What a sweetie pie puppy doggie! & I've never heard of a Bolognese before?! So cute. We went to the movies on Sunday (and saw Avatar!) and an older couple brought their 11 week old Havanese (spelling???) to the movie theater with them. Brought his carrier and his chewy toys and everything. We were kind of flabbergasted that the theater let them bring him in but we're major dog lovers and didn't mind at all. The little guy didn't make a sound but I felt so sorry for the poor baby doggie, the movie was so LOUD in places.
Your afghan is charming and I can't get enough of the vintage valentine's you're showing, so much fun!
Happy Tuesday!
Hi, Twyla! I'm late getting by today! My mornings are so much shorter now...
ReplyDeleteMuffin is so adorable! Can I pet him? ☺ I don't think I've ever heard of a Bolognese...
I can't believe you made another afghan! It must be so satisfying to be able to create something beautiful, warm and useful!
Well, I'm off to study Idaho with Micah! Have a sweet day! ♥

Hi Twyla, Thank you so much for your kind welcome back comment. Your little white, furry valentine is adorable. My favorite valentine is of the four-legged variety, as well. That beautiful afghan looks so warm and cozy, and the cheerful colors could brighten up any gray winter day. I really must learn to crochet! Love the postcards. Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteCarrie
I really LOVE the colors of your new afghan!!! I am really liking red and the blue is such a nice shade! Muffin is a cutie! My mom has little dogs and the kids said we were going to have to get one when we got home, but I think they've forgot now. SSSHHH!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Sherry
I must say -- your Muffin is much sweeter than any blueberry or banana muffin! :) What a cutie! Love that afghan. I so need to get organized and on one crafting path rather than all over the place and creating chaos wherever I turn. I love crocheting. Must look for Annie's Attic books when I am in the States. Thanks for the vintage valentines. They are lovely. Blessings for a beautiful day. :) Tammy
ReplyDeleteHi Twyla...
ReplyDeleteHow sweet to see your adorable Muffin! I'm so glad that you have each other to love on... I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have my precious Cocoa...
You know I admire your skills with the needle! Such pretty afghans... A few years ago I kinda learned how to crochet, and began working on my own afghan... now, though, I can't hold the needle or make my fingers do what they should... I never did get the afghan finished.
Love those Vintage Valentine's! I haven't seen either of them before... the one with the 4-leaf clovers 'n apple blossoms is my favorite... Thank you for sharing them!
May your day be filled with blessings and lots of snuggle time with sweet Muffin...
~ hugs 'n love ~
Pearl ♥
