Hello Friends! Today I am sharing an easy tutorial for a Valentine Card.
This really cute Vintage Valentine will be the main feature on my card so start by printing and cutting out the Valentine. I cut off the two hearts at the top of the Valentine but you can choose whether you want to leave them or not.
Here is a look at the finnished card.
I first started with a sheet of shiny blue cardstock which I cut 7 x 10 and folded over to create a 5 x 7 card.
I then cut a sheet of brown gingham paper to be 4 3/4 x 6 3/4.
Glue to the center of the card.
Glue to the center of the card.
Next I cut a sheet of blue patterned paper to measure 4 x 6. I inked the edges with Aqua blue Cat's Eye ink by Colorbox.
I then took a strip of red gingham ribbon and tied a bow in the center.
I then wrapped and glued it around my blue patterned paper. Next I added button to the center of the bow.
I took this Bracket shaped chipboard piece by Maya Road and covered it with pink gingham paper. You can look up Bracket shapes on google to find free templates for this shape.
After I covered it with the Pink Gingham paper, I took Rock Candy Crackle paint which is a clear crackle paint and painted across the piece and let it dry. Here is the effect it has after it is dry. A beautiful crackled, aged look that is so cool!
I glued the chipboard bracket to my card and added the Valentine to the center of the Bracket.
That's it! Super easy, Super quick and a super cute card for your friends and family!
