Hello Everyone! We hope you had a wonderful weekend. We are back today with a new idea for your Christmas celebrations.
I had the idea to make Christmas trees out of sugar cones.
We melted white almond bark (you could use white chocolate chips too, or a mixture of the two). It took about 3/4 of the bar to roll 12 cones.
We set them in a dish and sprinkled them with pink and red sugar. Be sure to sprinkle before the coating hardens!
I had the idea that we could put toothpicks in the top to hold names in case you wanted to use them as place card settings.
It was a little bit of a challenge to get the toothpicks in. It works best to break the pick in two and stick the pointed end in your cone and disguise the broken end in your topper.

Those are soooo cute! I have never seen these before. You are so clever.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the well wishes for Bella. I don't know whats been wrong with her. She has had diarhea for 3 days now. Don't have any idea why...she only eats dog food, hasn't been exploring outdoors due to rain...so we just don't know. Hoping it will pass with TLC and prayer.

ReplyDeleteCute idea!!! Very fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful trees and pink too! When I was a pre-school teacher we did this every Christmas. We used white frosting and tinted it green, then gave the kids all kinds of goodies to decotate with. I think more went into their tummies then on the tree. hehe
