Twyla on Tuesday

Hello Ladies!
It is hard to believe another Tuesday has rolled around.  Does it seem like time is flying
or is it just me?!
This week I wanted to share with you some of my latest antique and flea market finds.
This wall pocket is just so adorable!

As many of you know I collect the motto prints and the theme of many of these are 'Mother'.
This is a very small one that is made as though it were a locket.  On the back it said, 'From Jimmie,
Mother's Day 1926.'

I fell in love with the colors of this one, pink, blue and silver.

A close-up of the graphic.

I love these swing frames but many times they are just empty frames.  This one had a
beautiful print inside.

I have a passion for collecting old prints.  I think it started with the motto prints and now I just love
beautiful old prints in antique frames.  This is a small grouping that I have on one wall in our living room.

Thank you for spending some time with me today!
I hope that you all have a lovely day!
Twyla

  11. Hi Twyla.
Love the Motto Prints! They are both fabulous but the one with the picture of the mother and children . . . that is just too sweet.
Question! What is a wall pocket? You mention there is one in the first picture . . . but I must be blind. I guess that might be because I'm not sure what one looks like.I just love looking through your blog. ALways a new idea or something new to learn. Thank you for that!
    Have a great day! Karen

  16. Hi Twyla, I am catching up so as not to miss a thing. I thoroughly enjoyed Lindsey's Barbie post and can imagine her having a room with shelves filled to the brim with her collection. Her tag was amazing! When the paper comes to my town, I will be sure and give it a try. I always enjoy your Mother's prints posts and now always keep an eye out for them when I am out and about - Victorian postcards as well. I just don't come across them her in Ohio. Thank you for the pink Scottie card! A real treat! I hope spring finds you walking to your friend's house again. I am trying to get enough steps together to make it to the edge of my neighborhood! Tuesdays are my visiting days because of you! I wouldn't miss one! Elizabeth
