I want to thank everyone for your sweet comments, well wishes and prayers during the time I was sick last week. I don’t want to bore anyone with my health problems so I’ll just say it all started with some upper abdominal discomfort I was having. I went to the Dr. and ended up having all kinds of tests.
I’ve discovered that sometimes the tests are worse than the illness. I think I am all done with the tests and just anxious to get back to normal.
It was the flu that got me down last week and I was unable to do my post. I truly missed visiting with all of you.
The support of my family was so comforting. I appreciate everything they did for me. Spencer stayed right by my side.
Lindsey and I managed to do our usual treasure hunting for vintage items. A little retail therapy does a body good.
My shelves are getting crowded, but crowded with so much cuteness.
I hear that our collecting baby planters are inspiring some others to start collecting them also.
I’ve also found some very cute vintage wall pockets like this one I found this past Sunday.
I hope you all have a wonderful week with warmer temperatures. Take care of yourselves and be in good health.
The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease. – Thomas Edison

Hi, Twyla on Tuesdays! ☺ Tuesday mornings are always fun because of you posting!
ReplyDeleteI love your Thomas Edison quote. I'm much more into prevention than treatment and natural home treatment rather than meds with side effects.
Your pink doll furniture gave me a little thrill! If my grand kids ever get to come see me, I will buy a doll house for sure! They were maybe going to come this month but no. :<
Do you know I ended up having to take a nap yesterday, too? I HATE to take naps! I still slept good las night though. Whew!
Have a good day, Twyla! ♥
I'm so glad you are better. That was quite an illness. I've heard several people have the flu and miss a week or more of school. Ick!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better Twlya, you are such a doll with such a big heart! Happy 50th Birthday to Barbie!
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking of you all week and hoping that you are feeling better and your test results will be favorable. I'm sure you are glad to be done with them. Isn't it sweet how doggies are so loyal especially when we are under the weather?
ReplyDeleteCute finds as always, but I adore the sweet plastic baby doll furniture.
Take care and know that I will be keeping you in my thoughts.
Hugs,
Kim
I hope your feeling better!! That little puppy is so cute with his little frown and I love the train. Very cute! Shopping does make you feel better sometimes......especially when you find such cute things!
ReplyDeleteHealthy hugs going your direction!
Sherry
So glad you are feeling better, Twyla! I always love seeing pictures of all of your treasures, too.
ReplyDeleteHi Twyla,
ReplyDeleteI love the sweet little puppy planters. The picture of Spencer is adorable. You know you are still in my prayers, I so hope you are feeling 100% soon!
Hugs,
Kathy
I look forward to Tuesday with you and am very happy that you are feeling better and back :)
ReplyDeleteHow sweet that Spencer was your buddy when you were sick. Nothing better than a warm little puppy!
Cute planter, the puppy almost looks sad.
Take care.
Love,
Deb
It's so nice to have you back! I am so glad you are feeling better, Twyla. It is no fun to be sick! Love your vintage goodies! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Twyla
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are through with the tests and feeling better. I will pray for good results.
I was happy to hear you went to the flea market with Lindsey and found another planter. How many do you have now? Do you know?
Lindsay
So happy you are over the flu! Yes we all missed your positive spirit and eye for great collectibles! So happy to have you back on Tuesdays! Eliz
ReplyDeleteI hope you continue to feel better Twyla. And of course your little doggie was concerned about you... they seem to sense when things aren't quite right. Spencer looks so much like a white version of my golden Annie! Pretty long nose. I'll keep checking back to make sure you continue to do well! And Barbie is younger than me!
