Hello, another Barbie Wednesday is here! This was a neat flea market find a few years ago. Barbie's Quick Curl Boutique! It came out in 1972.
This case has such beautiful psychedelic swirls and flowers. It's a very small case probably used mostly for holding Barbie's clothes.
Of coarse Barbie's lamp and shag rug is pink too! I wish I could find another one to see what originally came with it as the vanity chair. I borrowed this chair from one of Barbie's 70's orange and green furniture sets.
This spot just seemed perfect for showcasing Barbie's favorite outfits!
I also wanted to share another Barbie commercial I found. This is the first ever Barbie commercial.
I love the slogan! "You can tell it's Mattel. It's swell"
I wonder how long they used that slogan? It's kinda corny but I like it!
Next Barbie Wednesday will be extra special. I was given some very wonderful vintage Barbie gifts from a blogging friend when we did a Halloween swap together. So October 8th is when we are to share what are partners gave us. I can't wait to share it with you!
See you soon, Lindsey
Can't wait to see those Barbie goodies you were sent, how exciting.
ReplyDeleteI can't watch the ad at the moment as I'm at work but will do as soon as I'm home!
