This week I wanted to show you a special piece in my collection. A vintage Barbie box. I don't know what doll came with it as they all had this same box for the first few years.

I love that it still has th original price tage on it! Shuggs Drug Store for $2.39.

It has seen much better days though. I bought it at a flea market several years ago for only fifteen dollars.

I love the design of the boxes! Those drawings are so cute!

The Barbie logo has changed several times over the years but the original one was the most lovely. A couple years ago they started using it again and still use it on some of the more collectible Barbie's.

Now this ad really dates itself! Swinging! I love it!

Happy Barbie Wednesday, Lindsey

  3. I love it - "I say many swinging things!" That reminds me of the Steve Martin and Dan Aykroyd's Wild And Crazy Guys from Saturday Night Live! They were swinging, too.
Your doll box may have seen better days - but it's still better than not having one at all! I love vintage Barbie everything. Your posts are making me want to take pictures of mine - I don't have as many as you do, though. Long live Barbie!!
