The August mornings are so pretty.
Misty and cool.
It makes me want
to be outside to enjoy them while
I can.
I heard an old folk saying that
for every fog in August, there will be a snowfall.
I wonder . . .
I love collecting these old crochet
potholders. These two are a very
similar pattern but purchased at different
times and places.
"I rejoice at Your word
As one who finds great treasure."
- Psalm 119:162
Have a nice day!

Pretty potholders, Twyla. I collect them too:)
ReplyDeletePretty pot holders! I love old crochet. It will be interesting to see whether you wind up with lots of snow this year...
ReplyDeleteI have some of those pretty potholders:) Love the design! Have a blessed day dear Twyla, HUGS!
ReplyDeletePretty pot holders! Happy Friday! xo Holly
ReplyDeleteI WISH the August mornings were as pleasant here. Here, the birds are quiet like they tend to be before a storm and the mornings are still, dusty and smokey. Yuck. BUT, I'd still rather that than drown in humidity! :)
ReplyDeleteWell you know what I do with my pretty potholders. I've never seen a black like that before...
We're having beautiful August mornings too! They're a little foggy and refreshingly cool. I get out and take my walk early before the heat sets in.
ReplyDeleteI kind of doubt the saying about the foggy mornings being equal to snowfalls would hold true for us here in Alabama. Especially since we have quite a few foggy August mornings and almost no snow. But you never know. :)
Love the crochet! Thanks for sharing the pics!
So pretty! Love the lacy design!! I will have to keep my eye for some like those!! Happy weekend!! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteOh Twyla! I just saw your latest afghan pattern. I absolutely adore the one I purchased from you and enjoy it every day. I just think I might have to follow along with you and make yours. Where you lead, I will follow.
ReplyDeletePS Thank you so much for the verses at the end of your posts. They are so uplifting. Have a lovely weekend. Elizabeth
Pretty pretty!
ReplyDeleteI have not heard that saying about the fog--I wonder too.
Have a great weekend!
