Hello dear friends!
I want to share with you an adventure
that I have set out on!
Needing to work some exercise into
my life, I decided on a goal to walk
a trail that covers over half of Missouri!
The night before we started, a small tornado
went through the area that we were
starting our walk on. A bad omen?
I didn't let it hinder me!
I hadn't planned on having to crawl through
trees, but that's just what we did!
We ended up walking 4 miles that first day!
There are a lot of markers along the way that
lets us know how far we've gone.
There are also lots of others - biking, jogging
and walking! It is a formidable goal, but
one I intend to accomplish!
"For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
The Lord will give grace and glory;
No good thing will He withhold
From those who walk uprightly." - Psalm 84:11
Have a nice day!
Twyla
You go Girl! I need to do the same BADLY! Perhaps if I start now I can make it to where you are by Christmas:) Have a blessed day dear Twyla, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteTwyla, this is so exciting. I know the colors will start to change there before too long. You should take lots of pictures for scrapbook of this great venture. The Lord is so good to share the beauty of His Creation with us.
ReplyDeleteWalking and exploring go hand in hand. Have fun (and a camera along at all times) on your daily walks, Twyla. We'll all love to see what you discover along the way! xo Paulette :)
ReplyDeleteOh fun! I love trails like that.
ReplyDeleteI miss walking on the trail in Troy but I'm enjoying my swimming immensely.
Remember to stretch! My calves are giving me fits these days because I wasn't stretching. Seems I can't get away with anything anymore! ♥
That's a very cool goal. Keep it up and share along the way. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I'm so proud of you! And what cute walking shoes you have.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful area to walk! I try to walk the doggies a few times each week. It's about a mile or so...but I get LAZY!
ReplyDeleteHappy walking!
Warmly,
deb
Oh wow! So, are you walking a segment of it each day, and then picking up where you left off and walking a little bit more?
ReplyDeleteOr are you building up endurance now so that you can "through hike" the entire thing at some point in the future?
Either way, you are amazing!
Good lUck--I hear the Katy Trail is AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteBe safe.
:)
This will be a fascinating journey in many ways! Enjoy!
