Sugar Kissed Santa Clipboard

Hello friends!

Today I am sharing with you a fun tutorial for altering a clipboard.

Start by printing and cutting out Santa.

Here is a look at the cut out Santa.

I am using a plain clipboard for this that you can pick up in your office supplies section at most stores.

I start by painting around the edges of my clipboard.

Before the paint dries, sprinkle snow glitter around the edges.

Line your patterned paper that you want to be your background up to your clipboard. You can then measure and cut out the section at the top for the clip.

Now glue your paper to your clipboard.

Next I glued vintage sheet music to the center of my clipboard.

I then added a piece of peppermint paper and pink cardstock that was punched using Fiskars Apron Lace Border punch, to the center of my clipboard.

I then glued Santa to the center of the clipboard.

I also added colorful snowflakes randomly around the clipboard.

On the clip I added a strip of paper which I cut a "v" out on each side to make a mini banner. I then added a paper rosette to the center and spread white Picket Fence Distress Stickles in the rosette.

I added clear jewels to the center of the snowflakes.

I also added this pretty "Christmas Greetings" rub on.

In my experience, working at a scrapbook store, I have met so many ladies that don't like using rub on's at all. I usually get cut off mid sentence if I suggest it for their project. I thought I would take a moment here to say if you are one of those rub on haters that you give them a second chance.

I know in the past that I had some ruined projects because of them but I realized that my problem was that I had been using cheap rub ons. When I switched to using rub ons by Melissa Frances, October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket I fell in love with them again!

The rub on I used here is by Melissa Frances. They are wonderful and come in a great variety of sentiments.

Now you can add your altered clipboard to your decor or use it hold important  notes or ideas for this Christmas season.  Or, keep track of your families wish lists!
