Hello friends!
We are happy to announce the winner for our Sugar Kissed giveaway .... She's Sew Pretty!
Congrats to Betty!
We still have more Sugar Kissed giveaways to come!!!!
Last year I did a tutorial for an altered Composition book. You can find that post here.
I decided to make another one this year, making it more vintage and old.
Here is how it turned out.
I was inspired by designer, Tim Holtz, who's work I adore!
I love this old rusty vintage style!
I had fun adding lots of layers to this journal!
These red hinges are so cool! I want to put them on everything!
They are from a die by Tim Holtz.
On the first page of this journal I used Christmas stamps by Tim Holtz.
Thank you for visiting us today!
Lindsey
How exciting! I can't believe I won. Thanks so much Twyla and Lindsey!!
ReplyDeleteLast year I do remember that composition book you altered because I made one just like it from your tutorial and gave it to my Grandson's wife. This Christmas they are already divorced. I made her a set of Walk in the Woods felt ornaments too I wonder who got those?
ReplyDeleteOh well onward and upward as Molie would say.
Congrats to Betty! What a wonderful and generous gift:) Have a blessed day my friends! HUGS!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful journal. As always a joy to drop by. :)
ReplyDeleteOh I love his style & you captured it sooo well! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely and charming blog. I love your journal! And stamping the first page is a great idea!

It's fabulous!! Is that a real old shiny brite box lid on the top??
ReplyDeleteI think I NEED that hinge die!!
You should get a commision from tim Holtz becaue you certainly are "selling" his stuff with your art!!
I have done a lot of altered composition books as well. It's a lot of fun isn't it Lindsey? I loved the Shiny Brite image. Where did you find it? You don't have to tell if you don't want to. Ha. Thanks for all of the great ideas!!
ReplyDeleteHi Guys! Lindsey, that book is beautiful. I'm gonna sound dumb, but do you all have a tutorial on how to create a cover on a composition book?
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Betty....and blessings to you both...Shelley
ReplyDeleteThe book is just beautiful! I love how we get inspiration from each other and turn it into something all our own. I have done just that with your Sugar-Kissed Christmas. I've taken your red and pink theme and incorporated it into my decorations this year. In fact, I mentioned your theme in my blog post just today! Thanks for sharing!
