Hello dear friends!
A very successful flea market trip this weekend! Look what I found!
I am slowly building a collection of these little cuties. Can you believe they were $3.99
a piece?!
Another find I couldn't pass up, this sweet little cookie or biscuit jar.
Also very inexpensive!
I added another vintage child's hanger to my collection. I didn't have a
pink one and the decal is so sweet!
It doesn't take a lot to make a fun antiquing trip.
The time spent with the loved ones shopping, is worth more
than the treasures we find. Most of the treasures we bring home and cherish, we
think lovingly about the time we had together discovering them.
What matters most cannot be bought.
I finished the afghan that I was making. This will be going to an acquaintance
who wants to do her bedroom over in the white on white style and this will give her a reason to get started!
It is a really creamy white color, but it is hard to depict the color accurately because
of lighting issues. I used Red Heart Super Saver's Soft White.
I think it is very serene and hope that she will love it. The best part is that it will be a total
surprise, a gift from my heart to her's.
Thank you for coming to visit with me today! I truly appreciate it!
Have a peace filled day!
Twyla

ReplyDeleteTwyla,
ReplyDeleteThose treasures sure remind me of my childhood, it all looks so familiar. It makes me wonder what ever happended to my mother's salt and pepper collection! She had oodles. I enjoyed playing with them in the cupboard.
The afghan is gorgeous. I think I would like to make one like it. The creamy whit is so lovely. We have two throws, but to me when it is chilly at night, nothing beats an afghan and I have a creamy white one I made 33 years ago whle expecting my second daughter. So durable...I used Red Heart yarn then and it still looks great when I pull it out of the guest room! Thanks for the memories.
Great finds. I especially like the sweet cookie jar. And, I remember those sweet baby hangers. I think I had some when my children were babies!
ReplyDeleteHave a fun day.
What a beautiful, from the heart gift!! I love your birdies!
ReplyDeleteAny day that you can bring home some bluebirds is a really good day, isn't it Twyla?! I remember this time last year I was complaining rather loudly that I couldn't find any in my price range. This year I've found 6! LOVE that biscuit jar too!
